Yes true, but the fundamental problems remain...
  1. it's mainly a solid fueled aircraft that can't control the optimal thrust during entire flight
  2. once the rocket motor is out, its all the kinetic energy that left, there's no more propulsion left
  3. the energy would bleed fast in those maneuvering sequence, especially when the missile is maneuvering in a CONSTANT and high G manner throughout flight
  4. and many more questionable claims
in a fighter jet, when you pull 9G you lose energy much more quickly than <9G, to compenaste this fighter jets
  1. apply max thrust through out the maneuver (thrust is constant here)
  2. level flight
  3. dive
all missiiles rather if they fly a simple trajectory or a trajectory where they manuever throughout their flights all the ranges are already taken accounted for when they push the information to the public. Even the proposed Klevok-D2 that has the same dimensions and warhead that is twice as heavy as Hermes ends up having more than 1.5 times the range with the same or even perhaps better manueverability. I am willing to even bet you have absolutely no idea that the PRSM is a proposed missile with a longer range than the ATACMs with the addition of manuevering capabilities. Its hard to believe but technology has progressed where we have missiles having almost the same dimensions more range and even maneuving capabilites than previous generation missiles, its crazy man.

all 3 of which is missing in the Zircon...

Anyway this is not the 1st time Russia failed to met its hype and it will not likely be the last. But you could fool yourself if you want.
Thats because you have shown time and time again you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about that I am interested in you telling me what are the benefits air breathing missiles have over BMs?

In the end research needs two important thing, money and talent. Which Russia is not on par with the States. Russia has a lot less money and talents aren't flocking towards Russia, instead its now leaving Russia.

Its actually questionable how countries that is late in the research of hypersonic field this thing in the first place. The HTV-2 might be a failure in flight but the data of HTV 2 and 3 test is the more important one here, cause it is the basis of further development and improvement.. So how come Zircon etc does success in an instant without any data to improve upon
LMAO instead of the mental gymnastics just say the HTV-2 is a failure and the U.S. can't make something like Avangard. Hell you can even go explain to me why the U.S. wanted scramjet research material from the kholod project if you are saying they have more talent and money 🤣

No surprise though, this is the country that labels its non AESA Su-35 as 4+++++ gen fighter lol. 😂

Still better than the U.S. dubbing 5th + as 6th gens 🤣

Just a hypothetical scenario: what if France armed some Catalan separatists and they would make an armed coup and take over Catalunia and declare independence (after killing representatives of the Spanish state)?

🥴

the real deal is that you are such biased person that you do not understand the irony of your own posting...

Looks like 4 MIG 29 for a start
More of them after renovation (I hope that means they upgrade it to carry something usefull)
Poland 🇵🇱 was going to send their Mig-29s eventually. I suspect that they've already sent a couple of them in the form of "spare parts", earlier in the conflict, but they should still have 20+ left. Hopefully, Slovakia 🇸🇰 will follow suit and send their 11 Mig-29s as well, as they discussed. More importantly, however, I hope that the West has found a way to further integrate Western missiles onto the Soviet air frame. We know they've had various upgrades over the years, but their true value isn't in their quantity, it's in their (hopefully) ability to use some of the devastating package of weapons that the West has to offer... JDAMs and AMRAAMs immediately come to mind.

What really needs to happen next from the USA is the immediate transfer of roughly 160-180 Abrams tanks to Poland (who is already buying a further 250), under the agreement that Poland will send its remaining 160-180 PT-91 Twardys to Ukraine in a "ring exchange".

Sending the Twardys to Ukraine is much more practical than sending more Abrams to Ukraine in the short term. Poland could train Ukrainians and equip two full tank brigades (roughly 100 tanks each) and Ukraine already knows how to operate and fix the vehicle. They have logistics for the T-72 already established.

This idea is a win for everyone.

USA 🇺🇸 gets to provide additional support at an extremely cost effective price in the sense that they've already paid for the tanks they would be sending to Poland. Those tanks are in storage anyways, and many of them are already being replaced by the newest version. The cheapest way to supply Ukraine with what they need is to use your current inventory to your advantage. Poland has bought 250 Abrams' anyways, so this would act as an extension to the previous deal.

Poland 🇵🇱 gets an extra 160-180 Abrams tanks, free of cost, which is a fairly big upgrade on the PT-91 Twardy and will bring their total number of Abrams tanks to 410-430 after procurement is complete. This would also streamline Poland's inventory of tanks, which is rapidly growing at this point and is not ideal from a cost structure or logistics perspective. Ideally, Poland would have the 980 K2 MBTs that they are procuring from South Korea, 410-430 Abrams MBTs from the USA and their "old" MBT would be their Leopard 2 variant. All remaining T-72's and PT-91's could be sent to Ukraine, where they would be put to great use.

Ukraine 🇺🇦 wins huge here because they get nearly two full tank brigades worth of reasonably upgraded armor and the cost to the Poles would be the training for Ukrainian tank crews, in exchange for the tank upgrades from the USA. 160-180 MBTs is actually a meaningful number, especially as they look to go on the offensive at some point. It's also a tank they are already familiar with and comfortable with in many ways, which would mean less headaches when it comes to integration into their inventory.

Latvia has approved another $74 million in military aid for Ukraine, with no specific details about the aid given at this point. This announcement has now brought the Latvian contribution to $392 million, more than 1% of their GDP. That's an enormous amount for a small country.

For comparison's sake, if the following 6 countries each gave 1% of their GDP to the Ukrainian war effort, it would look something like the following....

USA (1% of GDP): $235 Billion
Germany (1% of GDP): $43 Billion
Britain (1% of GDP): $31 Billion
France (1% of GDP): $30 Billion
Italy (1% of GDP): $21 Billion
Canada (1% of GDP): $20 Billion

Russia would have very little chance of competing with Ukraine in the arms race if the large economies of the West, supported by the NATO members and, especially, the countries in Eastern Europe, were truly serious about seeing Russia lose this war in conventional fashion.

True, but the ones giving this information is Russians, there's a BIG BIG difference between what they're telling and what they're selling
Even the proposed Klevok-D2 that has the same dimensions and warhead that is twice as heavy as Hermes ends up having more than 1.5 times the range with the same or even perhaps better manueverability. I absolutely do, and I'm also absolutely informed that the PrSM would only have maneuvering targets capability at the 3rd increment, which is years away. Somehow the Russian (claimed) they did it first. hmmmm, not saying its impossible, but questions need to raised here simply because Russia is not on par with the U.S atm.
Its hard to believe but technology has progressed where we have missiles having almost the same dimensions more range and even maneuving capabilites than previous generation missiles, its crazy man.
Yes the PrSM is a testament to that
Thats because you have shown time and time again you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about that I am interested in you telling me what are the benefits air breathing missiles have over BMs?
This from the guy who actually believes that a single attack sub could single handedly destroy a US navy CSG formation in the open seas lmao

Hypersonic itself is nothing new. The space shuttle is hypersonic, in fact everything that goes beyond Mach 5 is already a hypersonic vehicle. Its the way the Russians sell their capability as invincible to existing AD systems that is laughable especially in the light of underperforming Russians hardware in Ukraine.

maneuvering 30+Gs constantly in flight without having to worry about energy loss.. especially when you have limited time in which your propellant burns . 😂 😂

people actually have to question if the missile is not ripped apart during flight lmao

The total irony, is the one he looked upon uses the same methods everywhere in the world, not just in hypothetical Spain

How is in Bakhmut? Russia's new offensive target

1679061811487.png

Another key battle is underway north of Bakhmut

Against the background of large-scale losses in Bakhmut, the Russians decided to try to break through other lines of defense of the Ukrainian forces.

The pace of the advance of Russian troops on Bakhmut has significantly decreased over the past week. If earlier the invaders carried out 90-100 ground attacks a day, now it is 20-29, Colonel Aleksey Dmitrashkovsky, spokesman for the press center of the Taurida Defense Forces, said. According to him, the enemy in the area has lost its offensive potential due to the incredible loss of both human resources and equipment.

Lyman under threat?

The invaders chose the city of Liman in the Donetsk region as the new target of the attack, an Ukrainian serviceman told Reuters.

What say Ukrainian command?

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms that the Russians are conducting offensive operations in the Kupyansk and Liman directions. But all their attempts are unsuccessful.

Culmination in Bakhmut

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) in its report today said that the Russian offensive on Bakhmut is reaching a climax. On the eve of March 16, the enemy continued to attack the city and its environs. Geolocation footage for March 14 shows that the "Wagnerites" advanced northwest of Bakhmut on the northern shore of the Northern Reservoir.

Regarding the developments of international law and how it is evolving due toUkraine-Russian war. ICC refers to International Criminal Court, ICC judges have issued 38 arrest warrants. Thanks to cooperation from States, 21 people have been detained in the ICC detention centre and have appeared before the Court.

Situation in Ukraine: ICC judges issue arrest warrants against Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova

Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, born on 7 October 1952, President of the Russian Federation, is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation (under articles 8(2)(a)(vii) and 8(2)(b)(viii) of the Rome Statute). The crimes were allegedly committed in Ukrainian occupied territory at least from 24 February 2022. There are reasonable grounds to believe that Mr Putin bears individual criminal responsibility for the aforementioned crimes, (i) for having committed the acts directly, jointly with others and/or through others (article 25(3)(a) of the Rome Statute), and (ii) for his failure to exercise control properly over civilian and military subordinates who committed the acts, or allowed for their commission, and who were under his effective authority and control, pursuant to superior responsibility (article 28(b) of the Rome Statute).

Historians once said that the Oligarchs of Russia are just modern day Boyars.

They were right.
Feudalism was dismantled in the Russian empire with the establishment of the USSR only for it to be re-established by its collapse.
Heck the Minister of Defence Shoigu has his own PMC ''Patriot''.
