A total of 55 F-18 Hornet fighters are in service with Finland.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said whether Ukraine is ready to accept fourth-generation F-18 Hornet fighter jets from Finland, which they plan to decommission there.

As an UNIAN correspondent reports, at a press conference with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo in Kiev, the head of state noted that F-16s are a priority for Ukraine because of their number, which can meet the needs of the Ukrainian Air Force. However, according to him, Ukraine is ready to receive any type of aircraft.

"We are at war ... We take everything we are given to defend our state. We are ready to learn from everything that floats and flies. If Finland does not need F-18s, then let's - we will gladly [accept]" , - he said.

Zelensky also noted that Ukraine is interested in more armored personnel carriers. In particular, they discussed this issue with Orpo.

If you mean WVR combat, not much, although there's a footage of Ukrainian Mi-14 helicopter got shot in close range by a Su-35 last year. When it comes to fast long range beyond visual air combat, a lot has actually taken place with many Ukrainian pilots killed.

Whats interesting there was barely any tank vs tank battles. People really thought we weee going to see lots of tanks vs tanks akin to a kursk situation it barely happened.

Nothing better than watching Russians drool all over themselves for damaging a Patriot air defense battery in Kyiv, only for it to be back online hours later.

I'm feeling that at some point in time there will be an airliner getting shot down in around Moscow after being mistaken by Russian air defense site as drones.

Moscow's air traffic continue as normal even after multiple drone strike. Wrong place and at the wrong time those Russian missile could've mistaken an airliner for a bober drone.
