Ukrainian troops attacked the port in Feodosia with cruise missiles on the night of December 26, the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov made a corresponding statement. It is not reported what object was attacked, but a powerful explosion occurred on the port territory; perhaps a military warehouse was attacked. According to the governor, the area of the city port has been cordoned off due to the incident. According to him, at this moment the detonation, it is not specified what exactly, has been stopped, and the fire that arose as a result of the attack has been localized. All relevant services are on site. According to the latest data, the Russian BDK "Novocherkassk" of Project 775 was damaged.

I think the reason why Russia gets so much because Russia along with China supported a lot of the anti colonial independant movements.

A lot of the global south see no problem with supporting Russia.

Bingo, it's not the Russians who invaded people as far away as Southeast Asia and Oceania it's the Europeans. Don't get me wrong tho, these Russians, they're just as brutal as those Dutch/English/French colonialists with their subjects, but that's not important, the collective memories of the horrors of colonialism tilted heavily more to the West in the global south.

Also, we are pragmatic people, with pragmatic action. We do not see why Ukraine getting invaded is such a big deal to begin with because for one people got invaded all the time and life goes on. We do not expect the same kind of sympathy and support by the West if we are the ones getting invaded.

The problem with the West is they want everyone to be thrown into the dirt and make life miserable for everyone just because they have a problem with someone else. For example, Indonesia right now can't support its Russian-sourced fleet of Su-27/30 because the Americans would sanction us with CAATSA for doing defense deals with Russia, resulting in only 20% readiness for the Sukhois, that's a lot of reduction in air readiness by Indonesia's already tiny fleet of jets. From my perspective, why is a problem in faraway Crimea make us here suffer as well?

For the time being, we will play the Western games, but as new alternatives pop out, we'll take advantage of them to reduce our dependence and act more independently including supporting the Russian occupation of Ukraine if we deem it fit. But we're still long away from such scenario IMO.

Might be contradictory as Russia invades Ukraine but I guess colonialism has left such a legacy that a lot of former colonies support the Enemy rather than being with their colonial masters.

Dutch colonised Indonesia. Dutch were pretty brutal and ruthless that the Indonesians were pretty happy when the Germans invaded the Netherlands.

To be fair a lot of Indonesians especially the more knowledgeable ones supported Ukraine and naturally sympathized with the ones getting attacked.

But Ukraine fucked up big time by supporting Israel, from the lowest keyboard trolls to the highest level of statesmanship they demonstrated that they stand with a long-known apartheid state, which is kinda cringe considering that they build their war legitimacy out of the fact that they're getting occupied. But at the same time, they stand with an occupier.

so just like me, we're seeing less and less sympathy for Ukraine and some even push for Russia to be victorious just to give these people a lesson.

I think Russia invading Ukraine is the biggest blessing for the global south ever, now we can see in real-time what these people stand for, it has nothing to do with their supposed slogans of freedom and dignity, it's about the preservation of power.

In Ukraine, you see these people throw away their fake rejection of fascism by openly endorsing neo-Nazis like Azov or Banderites group because they're so good at killing Russians, yet at the same time they demand people to condemn Hamas even though it is only Hamas the one that is willing to hurt Israel after years of persecuting Palestinians.

As I wrote earlier, you could also see their hypocrisy by putting Putin on the ICC hit list while letting Netanyahu gets away with crimes that he himself boasted.

You will find the biggest supporters of Ukraine to be also the biggest supporters of Apartheid states and white supremacists. That's long known. So that makes supporting Ukraine on the moral battleground less and less sexy.

So from our perspective, Russia invading Ukraine is good news, because now the West are in a position where they are the victim, and the pragmatists like me saw the role of Russia as a mere tool to make the West busy and at the same time delegitimize their moral standing in the world.

From my personal perspective, Russia served the same role as Iran's led axis of resistance or the many terrorist groups popping up in the Middle East right now, I find them useful by the mere fact that they forced the West to throw away their resource into a forever war they can't win while in the long run weakening themselves into irrelevance, and not because I particularly liked them.

Not to mention Stephen Bandera's legacy is also polarising especially hence why Poland and Ukraine cant see eye to eye.

As Bandera basically was responsible for killing Poles, Jews and Russians.

Then again Ukraine are not the only ones to praise their Nazi collarborators as we see the same cases in the Baltics with Latvia and Lithuania.

From pro-Ukraine now I become neutral and less interested with Ukraine-Russia war.

Not a gift lol, like all Soviet-sourced equipment we buy it with credit.

But I think this is also why Russia is so popular here, everyone thinks that Russia (more like the Soviet Union actually) really like us because they "gifted" those. The truth is we buy those via credit which we only finally paid off during Yudhoyono's reign (2004-2014) as president.

If it's not for the fact that communism is banned here this country will be the largest vatnik populated country after China and India. It's just so common to see people simping for Russia for a reason that is only showing half-truth (such as free weapons "gift" which is not a gift).

The more educated and politically savvy Indonesian of course are naturally attracted to Ukraine but Ukraine really fucked up big time with their support for the Zionists.

LoL yes,that s with credit.

Basically Russian was a land power, they had bad relationship with his neighbours(Poland,Japan....) but better with the countries far from him.

They also had bad relationship with China but had improved because of the pressure from West.

Zelensky is Jewish by nationality and naturally also seeks support from Jews. The State of Israel was created primarily by Jews from Ukraine and Poland, not American or Western European Jews. The power of Jews in Ukraine has always been strong, the communists from Russia in 1917 were 90% Jews at the initial stage. At one time, Jews wanted to build their state in Crimea, and not in Palestine.

Putin does not want to risk waiting for Trump to return to the White House
Putin will be satisfied with the current situation, when Russia controls the ruins of Donbass and the completely mined steppes of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions

Kretschmer suggests Ukraine temporarily give up territory

Saxony's Prime Minister is demanding more diplomacy from the federal government instead of just arms deliveries for a solution to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. Kretschmer expects Kiev to give in.

The negotiations offered by the Russian Federation are our capitulation." Interview with Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the NSDC

If Ukraine gives up territory in the future the Russians will demand more.

Ukraine gave up Crimea and parts of the Donbass still did not prevent a full blown Russian invasion.

Germans capitulating against the Russians since 1945. For even Germans to be suggesting shows what their intentions are.

If the MAGA Republicans don't approve the aid to Ukraine that Biden and Democrats want to send, you can say: "MAGA and Republicans lost the Ukraine War". Ukrainians did everything they could, weren't given enough to keep fighting.

My guess is if Putin has plans to take the Baltic nations, which Putin does, Putin would want buddy Trump to win in Nov. and would want a break in the Ukraine War to stockpile ammunitions and weapons for that offensive.

The Ukrainian position is true that Putin is calling for a freeze to the conflict to give support to Hungary and to MAGA in the effort to stall or end substantial aid to Ukraine. To have Republicans and Hungary be supported in that the war could be over when there is the debate to send aid to Ukraine in January.

If the war ends and Russia gets to keep occupied areas, it is a victory for Russia. So, Russia would win, Ukraine would have more trouble getting aid, and Russia can prepare for the further invasion of Europe if Democrats lose.

If I were the USA, I would begin the training of Baltic States troops on US military equipment likely to be sent to the NATO Baltic States in the advent of a Russian invasion of the Baltic States. Such a decision could prevent a war. It should have been done with Ukraine when the US was warning of a possible Russian invasion two years ago.

How Putin operates: If Biden loses, Putin invades the Baltic nations in late Dec 2024, Biden sends initial aid to the Baltic, Trump enters the WH and "standbys" NATO membership of the US. Putin annexes the Baltic States, Europe cowers in fear and possibly moans that Europe should have never offended Russia.

If Europe spends the money to do a large build-up of military equipment, then Europe would not need to cower before Putin.

Had the Democrats not supported Ukraine with large amounts of aid, Ukraine would have likely held, though Ukraine would have less territory. The European aid of anti-tank shoulder fired weapons and many various weapons and ammo helped halt the Russian advances, particularly armoured vehicles.

The US aid was not enough for Ukraine to win, nor too little to light a fire under the rears of the Europeans to build-up from 2022-25 in military arms. I am pretty sure the Russian agents in MAGA were behind both these Russian agendas.
