I feel bad for the journalist that wrote that in the newspaper, they certainly are going to have a few rough weeks.
The KIA/wounded rate seems off as well, if there is so many wounded there certainly would need to be a lot more dead soldiers. Perhaps Ukrainian officials weren't throwing propaganda at us after all 😁

Why do i feel the "modern" in that tweet really should be in quotes? ;)
It's modern by Russian standards :ROFLMAO:

The most important outcome of this war is the birth of a new world system that challenges American domination and divides the world. We are talking about an alternative to Swift, considering the dollar as the only global currency in trade, evaluating the value of currencies on the basis of the dollar, the prices of oil and energy in dollars will emerge that break the old monopoly (possession) and many more

The fall of Kyiv is closer than some think (I see it from the past since Putin's launched his war), but let's see the new world order and its consequences.
First it was an "operation", then "liberation", now that the s**t hit the fan for Russia, war was acknowledged.

Since there was so many contradicting statements about the nature of this unjustifiable invasion, the new tone from high up is to underline the "New World Order", as if nobody knew what's been going on for the last three decades.

Russia is experiencing the bitter consequences of its cockiness and the thought that they could get away with anything with impunity.
People in Russia deserve the sanctions and isolation Russia is going to go through for the majority of them support Mr. Putin and his regime.

Mass bombings of civilians is never justified and Russia keeps doing it everywhere it sends its troops or mercenary.
The humiliation the Russian Armed Forces experiencing now in Ukraine is poetic justice, They've amateurishly walked into a well-prepared trap (Yes, the west is evil) because they were so predictable!

This war has also shown the world the poor Russian logistics, tactical planning, training, maintenance, and most importantly, abysmal intelligence and primitive communication.

The fact that they were giving the city of Mariupol an ultimatum, was a joke in itself.

As I said, I hope that Putin's supporters (It's insane with those non-Russians!) move into Russia and live under a renewed Soviet regime where they can only dream of bananas.

Hm, the ratio of wounded to dead doesn't make sense to me, general battlefield math would be 3-4 wounded to every KIA. If the number of dead from the russian source is close to correct there should be 30-40k wounded as well, which is staggering (although not entirely unlikely). That would mean that about a quarter to a third of the committed troops are either dead or wounded.

Now let's do a little bit of mental arithmetic:

If we play with the thought that they actually stick to their tactical battlegroup formations that they arrayed before the war, each BTG would consist of either one or two companies of tanks (10 tanks per company). Oryx has visually confirmed at least 263 tank kills. The true number is probably higher, but lower than the Ukraine estimates (something like 480). Lets split the difference and we end up with an estimated 370 tanks destroyed. Equaling the equipment of about 37 one company BTGs. Russia had 120 BTGs by the Ukraine border at the start of the war, so they have lost tanks equivalent to about 25% of initial strength. Which fits nicely with the number of dead+wounded at around 40k or ~25% of the total manpower.

All of this is guesstimations, but it should give a general indication of how badly things are going for the russians.

A somewhat fawning piece on how russian BTGs were supposedly organised:

Russia's point of justification: whataboutism.

USA, France, UK, Israel etc.

Yes, they've committed countless crimes against civilians, invaded many sovereign countries as they were "exporting freedom and democracy", stole lands and occupied them by force, resulted in the starvation of hundreds of thousands of people, tortured, shot, maimed, and raped innocent people.

But why was Mighty Russia silent when all these were happening? I don't recall the superpower jumping to defend the innocent. The only force that was great enough to stand in the face of that evil evil west, which seems that the Russians just remembered doing all these things.
Russia has always sided with the despot. Just look at Syria and Libya.

Only the fact that Russia never adheres to agreements or deals, is a stain big enough on everyone of its advocates.

So please, Putin worshippers, please, put a sock in it!
