The situation threatening the Armed Forces of Ukraine has developed in the area of the Severodonetsk agglomeration, up to 8 thousand Ukrainian servicemen who have entrenched themselves in Severodonetsk and Lisichansk can get into the encirclement. According to a number of Russian Telegram channels, Russian troops managed to break through the defense of the AFU in the area of Belogorovka and reach the rear of the defenders.

The lid of the boiler is slammed shut, the allied forces were able to break through the Ukrainian defense in the area of Belogorovka, forcing the Seversky Donets. The pontoon crossing was established a couple of days ago, but the Ukrainian units entrenched in the area prevented the advance. Now the defending units are being pulled back from the northern bend of the Donets River to Lisichansk. Taking into account the offensive from the side of Popasnaya, where the defense was also breached, a fairly large group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to some estimates, from 5 to 8 thousand servicemen, can get into the encirclement. Such a spread in numbers occurred due to the inability to establish at the moment the real losses of the APU.

According to reports, in the area of the Severodonetsk fortified area, several theroborona battalions, the battalion tactical group of the 17th Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, parts of the 57th OMPBr and the 24th OMBr named after King Danila are holding the defense.

As already reported, fighting is taking place on the outskirts of Lisichansk and Severodonetsk, in the area of Shipilovka and Privolye, the villages of Nizhny and Svetlichnoye have been taken. However, no one will storm "head-on" Severodonetsk and Lisichansk, the artillery positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the higher Lisichansk shore of the Seversky Donets are interfering.

Earlier in Lugansk, it was reported that a whole brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was withdrawn from Lisichansk. There is also information that the fortified area was left by senior officers who were allegedly summoned to an "important meeting" in Dnepropetrovsk. Apparently, the remaining ones are destined for the role of suicide bombers, whose task is to hold the area as long as possible

At point 1, the crossing of the Russian Federation 400m from the filtration station was destroyed. The cause of the destruction is not clear, perhaps by water, perhaps by artillery fire.
At point 2, the crossing of the Russian Federation was damaged by AFU artillery fire. Most likely destroyed.
At point 3, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation conduct raids on the other side of the Seversky Donets between Privolye and Shipilovskaya.

Briefing of the Russian Defense Ministry (09.05.2022)

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue a special military operation in Ukraine.

High-precision air-launched missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces hit 11 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, four company strongpoints, eight ammunition depots of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Konstantinovka, Antonovka, Elizavetovka, Dolina and Lisichansk, as well as two radar stations for detecting aerial targets in the areas of Kramatorsk and Krestyshche.

According to the updated data, six Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters were destroyed at night in the area of the village of Artsiz, Odessa region, near the Chervonoglinskoye military airfield by high-precision Onyx missiles of the Bastion coastal missile system.

Operational-tactical and army aviation hit two control points and five areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Rocket troops and artillery units hit 318 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment. As a result of the strikes, up to 400 nationalists were destroyed, 48 units of military equipment were disabled.

During the day, a MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down by Russian air defense over the city of Severodonetsk.

In addition, three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed over the settlements of Novozvanivka, Khartsyzsk and Izyum. In the area of the settlement of Ivanovka, Kharkiv region, a Ukrainian Tochka-U missile was intercepted, and in the areas of Bolshaya Kamyshevakha and Izyum, two multiple rocket launchers of the Smerch system were intercepted.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 162 aircraft, 124 helicopters, 790 unmanned aerial vehicles, 299 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2967 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 347 multiple rocket launchers, 1,432 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 2,778 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.

On May 7, on the direct instructions of V. Zelensky, the Ukrainian General Staff, with the direct participation of advisers from the United States and Great Britain, planned a major provocation to seize the island of Zmeiny.

Over the past two days, the Kiev regime has made several desperate attempts to land air and sea troops on the island of Snake, which is important for ensuring control of the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

As a result of the competent actions of the Russian armed forces unit located on the island, the Ukrainian provocation was thwarted. The enemy suffered heavy losses.
During the period of repelling attacks in the area of Zmeiny, four Ukrainian aircraft were shot down in the air, including three Su-24 and one Su-27, three Mi-8 helicopters with troops on board, and one Mi-24 helicopter. Within two days, 29 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down in the air, including eight Bayraktar TB-2 attack aircraft. At the same time, four Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down this afternoon.

Also, during an attempt to land troops on the night of May 8, three armored Ukrainian amphibious assault boats of project 58181 "Centaur" with servicemen of the Ukrainian Navy were destroyed.

As a result of Zelensky's thoughtless provocation, more than 50 Ukrainian saboteurs were destroyed at sea and on the coast only during the landing and attempts to consolidate on the island. 24 bodies of dead Ukrainian servicemen remained on the shore of the island of Zmeiny.

Well Putin deposited a couple of hundreds of billion in the Western institutions, it will go a long way to rebuilt Ukraine. You see, it is really peculiar that Russians and their trolls talk what other lost or what they can do ( usually badly) it never occurs to them what they have lost or might loose
I hope those 20 armatas which Russia managed to produce so far ( apart 3 destroyed in Syria) didn't get stuck in a wrong gear during the parade

Putin chose to destroy Ukraine and it is not bothering him (and russians) that Russia will go down by trying to do it to North Korea levels of economy.
What is most surprizing is that people in Russia dont care about the future at all. They want to go back to CCCP time that is long gone.
Well, at least in the next 5 years we will propably see free Belarus, no more cancer russian states like Osetia or Transnistra and world will be better place

We do, thats why Poland is doing as much as it could to support Ukraine.
First Russian army is no more a threat.
Second, we have REAL friendly neighbour country, Ukrainians are like brothers right now.
Third, Belarus will be free from Russia soon and we will heve another friend on the east border.
