What's surprising that it is surprising to you. You as Polish should know better. It is not Soviet Union thing either, it has been like that from the very beginning. The huge mass of serfs was always present and it was fed by talks of conspiracies against them or " greatness" of their country ,it somehow compensates all of that and ofcourse throw a bit of mythomania for good measure. Stalin was nothing out of ordinary there , no wonder such " hero" is still venerated there. Anyway that great leader like Putin and his clique could have spent a bit more for people that they allegedly care for.Putin chose to destroy Ukraine and it is not bothering him (and russians) that Russia will go down by trying to do it to North Korea levels of economy.
What is most surprizing is that people in Russia dont care about the future at all. They want to go back to CCCP time that is long gone.
Well, at least in the next 5 years we will propably see free Belarus, no more cancer russian states like Osetia or Transnistra and world will be better place

It was over when your plan A failed in February and USA and GB decided to arm Ukraine. It will take time but you remember WW2? Soviet union was able to defeat Germans thanks to Land Lease, history will repeat and fashists will loose again.

Putin and most of the Russians are absolutely brainwashed and mentally unstable. They don't think like normal people, they don't see the world like normal people. I don't know if it comes from the centuries of alcohol abuse, or always being slaves/serfs and never ever being free in their history... but there is just something that is wrong with them.
Russia is way bigger than any other country on Earth and has all the resources you can imagine. It has enough water and fertile soil to feed half the world. It is a nuclear power and nobody can threaten it with invasion or something like that. It has a population of 150 million people- many of whom are very well educated, they have thousands of brilliant minds, scientists, artists etc... If Russian politicians and the nation they represented had some brains they could have now been a nation that all the world likes, and wants to do business with. If Russia was an economy that was open for business, if Russia was a country that was trying to be a friend and a partner to their neighbors now Russia would have been at least on the level of Spain in per capita terms and Russians would live like tsars instead of stealing toilets, Nutella and laptops in Ukraine.
Yet the huge majority of Russians will never ever comprehend this... They can't even develop the land they have properly but they will want to occupy more and more. They are full with fear and complexes as a nation and this is why they do all these stupid shit...

Here is a fun fact Azerbaijani Air force has much more modern SU-25s than russians do because Azerbaijani su 25s can use LGK precise munitions who were made by Azerbaijan-Turkey plus su 25s of Azerbaijan has targeting pods.

About new russian tank armata. There are already so much discussions that armata HAVE new transmission and it has stuck so many times.man more of these will show up I hope an armata will be stuck again
It is seems that switching to gear create that stuck and when happens most of time a tank can NOT be driven. They just call support trailer to pick it up. It can NOT be fix it on road
For now it is used only on events for russians. They have to feed them with propaganda that something new is out there

The Russian military are no longer feared, its economy trashed, Russians are cut out from the rest of the world and vilified, talents are leaving Russia etc.
All that for what? Ukraine?
Putin will fail in Ukraine, the only thing he'll achieve is the degradation of Russia as a major world power.

Pardon me, but I don't think that Mr Putin has the right to determine Ukraine's choices as a nation.
His concerns about having a western puppet on the border to Russia may be understandable but his intentions were bad. Not seeing Ukrainians have the right to live is psychopathic.
Massacring civilians, looting houses and shops, bombing residential areas, raping, kidnapping, deporting to Siberia etc. etc.
I used to respect Putin and thought of him as a clever leader, even after annexing Crimea, and even after the Donbass theatre, until the stupid decision to invade Ukraine with the very funny title of "Special Operation".
Most of Turks here have nothing against Russians, but Russia has stabbed us in the back many times in Syria and Libya, It's also playing a dangerous game under the guise of "peacekeeping" in Karabagh, but most importantly, Russia's arrogance in its claims over Ukraine gives some of us the Schadenfrude when we see their army fail.
Also Russian bots and media have tried to ridicule our defence products at every chance (to no avail) and still yet do (see TB-2) although it made them bleed in al above mentioned conflicts in addition to Ukraine especially in the first weeks of the failed invasion.
Russians claimed they will take the entirety of Ukraine within a week and install a pro-Russian government but the reality is something the whole world watched with shock.
Russia showed us that they talk the talk bet they limp badly when it comes to the walk part.
I'm really sorry if you feel sometimes ostracised, and I would like to see your side of the medal too in the conflict.
I congratulate you on having a pretty thick skin and standing your ground but you should not support the killing of civilians, looting, raping and other atrocities committed by the Z army.
I hope Russians could be more humble and accept the shortcomings of their military and poor decisions of their leaders.
