Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov summed up the beginning of the war

“The enemy's plan to break us down did not work. Ukraine is fighting and doing it successfully. The Ukrainian army inflicted serious damage on the Russian invaders. The enemy has already lost six planes, two helicopters and five tanks.”

Something official:

"Border guards together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other security and defense forces continue to defend Ukraine.
We will note that the armed forces of the aggressor state of the Russian Federation carried out invasion in many directions.

The fire on the border units and checkpoints was carried out by artillery and aircraft, followed by the movement of military equipment.

In particular, the Russian aggression took place within the Luhansk, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Kherson, Odesa regions, on Fr. Snake, and in the area of environmental protection.

Depending on the development of the situation, the border units are redeployed to reserve positions and work together with Ukrainian soldiers."

Lots of dumbass dogu perincek supporters in Turkey by citing how Ataturk and Lenin were allies.

By the way Ataturk actually saw the Russians as a threat and made numerous speeches about how communism was a threat. Ataturk also had many communists hanged.

Soviet support of Turkish independance war was nothing more than a political convience as we had the same enemies.

Also the Soviets support was nothing more than half assed also used extortion thats how they took Batum.

Lets not forget how they seized lots of funds for themselves and sent peanuts.

Ukrainians national defence systems were either on paper or prototype. Even if they developed any notable weapons it would still carry USSR, Russian DNA because of the leftover infrastructure. and they tried to prioritize nationalization while having no luxury of time.

Ukraine was way too relaxed on acquisitions. Why did they tried acquire ships before modernizing their land based SAM systems?
