Poland will train 2 battalions of Ukrainian soldiers each month moving forward. This initiative, which was announced today by the Polish Defense Minister, is part of a massive effort to train train Ukrainian soldiers abroad in 2023 and send them back to Ukraine with western fighting kit and in some cases, specialized skills sets.

- U.K. led, multinational mission, will train 20,000 Ukrainians troops in 2023.
- USA will train 500 Ukrainian troops per month (6000 in 2023) at their training base in Germany.
- EU has announced a multi national effort to train 30,000 Ukrainian troops in multiple countries in 2023.
- Lithuania will train 1500 Ukrainians troops in the early part of 2023, with aid from the EU and the UK.

Approximately 60,000 Ukrainians troops will be trained outside of Ukraine in 2023.

There is a significant difference between two countries towards Türkiye.

and then they refused to open syrian airspace at the time to allow Turkish helicopters in to rescue the injured, only for them to later fire on the ambulances that arrived in the area. Russians bombing ambulances to tend to the wounded is typically degenerate Russian character and behaviour.

It fascinates me how quickly Turkish people forget, our enemies not only never forget but they are brainwashed to make a mountain out a molehill, then when the same people murder Turks, its forgotten by next week.

Ha, we are getting on the bottom of things. Sort of, within the limits of opponents, of course. I appreciate this and would love others to join. Ru- Uk war is dictationg the dilemma, but lets not be limited with that and Türkiye is offering interesting alternative indeed.

So, Russian superior societal order versus rotten Western world. I have been lucky to grow up within socialist system, applied by Russia. Russia: mainly a rural country, rushed through industrial age to become one of the strongest nuclear powers and tryed to shortcut into communism without wasting time for capitalism. Failed by doing so and now successfully built up neo-agrarian empire with aristocrats (oligarchs), state aristocrats (governmental officials, army, security etc) and slaves (non-oligarchs, to be consumed by aristocrats in any way, using freely given reasons like war in Ukraine). Still obsessed with its military might and ideas of ruling the world, behaving accordingly.

Now I live in capitalism: an indiviualist consumer society where everything can be bought and winner is the one who has purchased most items before the death. Social order -democracy- considered to be the worst one except everything else. Under the flag of personal freedom attacks traditional ways of life, undermining by this its own existance. Visibly fragile and not stable but loaded with unpredictable potential if pushed out from comfort zone. Constantly struggling internally to find the best format for success. Focused inward, aimed to quarantee the well-being of their own citizens, thus significanlty less agressive compared to authoritarian states and lenient to spend on military- unless it is absolutely necessary.

Sure, there are plusses and minuses in each side and if we talk about religion-like belief, there is no argument strong enough to overthrow this. What we can do here is to acknowledge of the shades of gray or even colours between black and white. Come on, nobody is perfectly good and perfectly bad. the division line is within us and it moves depending from time and circumstances: today I am father, heping to create a new life; tomorrow a soldier in the battlefield and taking lives. Shortly, we are not god-like perfect creatures and making mistakes building up whatever type of society.

So, from where Russians collect their confidence to decide over other nations and force their lifestyle upon? What are the arguments, leaving religious ones out? Religious paradigmas are not enforced by simple mortals like us, thus not arguable.

Ukrainian pilots to master Typhoon faster than usual - Zelensky

Ukrainian pilots will learn how to fly British Typhoon fighters six months faster than this process usually takes. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

The head of the British government, in turn, stressed that the training of Ukrainian pilots is the first step towards the supply of fighters to Ukraine.

Sunak also commented on the possible transfer of Typhoon. According to him, Britain now does not rule out anything on the issue of military assistance.

"We are negotiating with our allies," he concluded.

Recall that the British government is considering the possibility of providing Ukraine with fighter jets. But this decision will not be made in the short term.

Johnson called on Britain to provide fighter jets to Ukraine

The repeated call also comes in the wake of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's speech at Westminster Hall today.

Mr Zelensky used an address to parliament to call for more fighter jets and said he wanted a coalition of nations to supply planes.

Yuri Knutov, military historian, director of the Air Defense Museum, retired colonel, claims that Russia has the means to cope with Western tanks. He names missiles, Msta artillery of the latest modification, the barrel of which wears out more slowly, because without a chrome coating, also anti-tank mines. Proposes to make an analogue of the Battle of Kursk with the Germans in 1943. He says that Msta can strike with heavy fire, that is, shoot 10 times with an interval of 10 seconds, hitting the same place. He also says that there is a technology that allows you to hit with a double projectile: the first projectile neutralizes active armor, the second projectile pierces the armor.
But as for the F-16, he did not find any opposition. He says that the use of aircraft and shells with depleted uranium could provoke Russia to use tactical nuclear weapons. The Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist has the story from a single high-level anonymous source, and it's not without problems.​

For months, the Nord Stream story has lain dormant; investigations have yielded no news, except to confirm the obvious sabotage. Only the occasional delighted remarks by American officials have made headlines in the meantime. All of that changed seven hours ago, when Seymour Hersh posted a lengthy Substack article on How America Took Out The Nord Stream Pipeline.

Hersh has a high-level anonymous source, who alleges that the attack was conceived by the Biden administration in late 2021, and carried out by U.S. Navy divers from their Diving and Salvage Center in Panama City in collaboration with Norway. Explosive charges were allegedly attached to the pipelines during the June BALTOPS 22 naval exercises in the region. The plan was originally to use timed explosives, but the administration opted at the last minute instead for a trigger mechanism that could be set off with a sonar buoy. This buoy, according to Hersh, was dropped by a Norwegian navy plane on 26 September 2022, triggering the explosions.

The story appears poised to make it into major media; as I type this, it’s already been picked up by the Times and Reuters.

As always, you should read Hersh’s piece and make up your own mind. I confess to some substantial reservations. As written, the account is broadly plausible, particularly in light of the open and blunt statements of American officials, but it also seems, at the very least, incomplete.

I’m having particular problems with this part of Hersh’s reporting:

The Norwegian navy was quick to find the right spot, in the shallow waters of the Baltic sea a few miles off Denmark’s Bornholm Island. The pipelines ran more than a mile apart along a seafloor that was only 260 feet deep. That would be well within the range of the divers …
The C4 attached to the pipelines would be triggered by a sonar buoy dropped by a plane on short notice, but the procedure involved the most advanced signal processing technology. …
On September 26, 2022, a Norwegian Navy P8 surveillance plane made a seemingly routine flight and dropped a sonar buoy. The signal spread underwater, initially to Nord Stream 2 and then on to Nord Stream 1. A few hours later, the high-powered C4 explosives were triggered and three of the four pipelines were put out of commission. …

Remember that there were actually two distinct explosions – the first one to the south, on Pipe A of Nord Stream 2 alone, at 2:03 in the morning; and the second on both Nord Stream 1 pipes and again on Pipe A of Nord Stream 2, at a separate location miles to the north and exactly seventeen hours later, at 19:03:


Hersh’s article, describing explosives laid at a location where both Nord Stream pipes ran parallel, seems to be only about the second, more northerly attack. This is a fairly glaring omission in a piece full of very precise details on other matters, including other operational specifics.

I also wonder about the source’s claim that Biden and Nuland, via early statements that the US would block Nord Stream 2 in the event of a Russian invasion, effectively “downgraded” the action from a covert operation requiring Congressional oversight to a lower-level merely classified action that dispensed planners of having to seek such approval. Perhaps that’s totally believable, but I need more persuading here. The avoidance of Congressional oversight is a recurrent theme in the piece; it’s also allegedly why US Navy divers, rather than special forces, were chosen to carry out the operation. One could argue that, with these claims, Hersh’s source is simply trying to make his story robust to falsification by the House and Senate leadership.

It's possible that it was the US. However, I do have some issues with the article:
1. what the author refers to as "indirect references to the attack" when Biden stated that that if Russia invades there will be no NS2 was a completely normal statement in the context. Putin believed that Russia would win fast enough that Germany would find it pointless to sanction NS2 after the fact. The US at the time also believed that Russia would quickly win. When Biden made this statement, immediately after meeting with Scholz, it is more likely that what was meant was that Scholz and Biden arrived at an agreement that in the event of an invasion NS2 would be cancelled.
2. one of the theories for why Russia could have sabotaged NS2 is to get out of contracts for supplying gas to Europe. This would have been used as part of its overall plan of restricting gas to drive up prices, hurt European countries' economies and foster discontent and political upheaval/change (this much is fact rather than theory). Immediately after NS2's sabotage gas prices rose 12%. And later Russia used the excuse of maintenance on other pipelines to stop gas flows in order to threaten specific countries while at the same time further driving up gas prices. Eventually it was Russia that chose to stop supplying gas to most of the European market, even before sanctions came into effect. I do find it disingenuous on the part of the author that he neglects to address or even mention any of this, despite obviously having been aware of the theory.
3. the author seems to have an extraordinary amount of knowledge that I have no idea how he would privy to. At the same time he seems to be known for conspiracy theories and drawing heavily on anonymous sources, according to a quick read of his wiki
