Russia blocks Twitter, Youtube and Facebook and will punish authors who write "fake news about the situation in Ukraine and the russian army" with 15 years in prison. :)
CBC, NBC, BBC, CNN, all pulling out. Combined with the twitter and facebook blocks there is a total blackout of independent media. Turning russia into north korea...

This is highly unlikely to happen,it would be seen as an act of war by the Russians.

Yup if NATO wanted to get involved like that, it would already have done so.

It is at its high water point right now as to what/how it will support Ukraine (that too after waiting to see if Russia actually would invade....rather than heavy deterrence buildup assistance before it).

Land buffers and NFZ will be far too risky and dont make sense to the strategy NATO did so far.

dhina's securty depends on its partnership with europe and russia. rusisa's security depends on its partnership with china and europe. there are common interests and targets. what russia has to do is to pull europe to its side.. we'll see what china's mission is later on. europe, the last stop of all commercial bridges

You are thinking real big picture....good lad.

People often also dont account for how long it will take (and investment it will take) to get deep siberian pipelines built from Russia to China.

Right now iirc, only eastern siberia has some pipelines to China.

Whereas majority of oil and gas fields are much further west...(this is why it was more economical and prudent to build these to western russia and then Europe).

This is a pretty significant window of pressure (the time it takes for this) that West has to mount pressure on Putin and his inner circle calling the shots.

The spanner in the works now on the Eurasian component of BRI is a long term issue for sure like you mention....given it is really Europe terminus by far (given developed market size for finished VA goods) that was supposed to hold up most of chinese objective and investment sunk and commited towards it.

The problem with these drones is they are relatively large and slow compared to a jet so way more vulnerable to air defence.

Send SEAD specific drones first. Next formation after it carries the munitions.

This should have been what NATO helped Ukraine well BEFORE the war started.

It could very likely have deterred the war from happening.

Appears that a lot of russian IT-infrastructure is relying on Arm, Intel and AMD to deliver processors, companies that will no longer deliver to russia. Who wants to bet this will affect C&C infrastructure and high tech hardware such as planes and drones? (apparently Rostec who makes the Elbrus processor also has a side gig in aviation, running MiG).

In the end (if Putin retains his grip on power mid term to long term)....it will be useful case study to see some realised specifics on where China has actually caught up to West where it matters deep down + networking of such.

Judging by the continued IP transfer numbers (that few still look at)..... I would say not very much relative to the clickbait fluffpieces put out by loudmouths, ignorants and fearmongers in various media complexes.

Funny how your post is about supposed Ukrainian propaganda yet you can't understand the concept of Russian propaganda. Russian public thinks the war is going great, and if their son is dead he died fighting "Nazis", and if any of the parents are angry, they aren't gonna open their mouth because Putin's gestapo will come and arrest them like they did to around 1000 anti-war protesters.
So you are saying ordinary Russians dont have balls like Ukrainians to fight against injustice, even though both people have very similar ancestry and subject to very similar warfare and destruction in the past? There is something in your argument which dismisses Russians as weak people, beholden to propaganda whereas at the same time you hold the very same Rus people in Ukraine a lot braver and patriotic. Why is this? If Russians were doing propaganda, why has the EU felt the need to ban RT and Sputnik? Are the Europeans so foolish that they will en masse believe the so-called Russian propaganda and have to be baby sat on deciphering content that comes out of the Kremlin?
Your assertions are logically weak and just emotive - not grounded in any real basis.

This must be fake news. I refuse to believe that Russia is plundering its own museums to send age-old Soviet junk to the frontline.
I've got my fingers crossed that we'll see Russians busting out T-34s before this is all over.

Double points if Germany scavenges some Panzerfausts that have been lying in storage since 1943 and ships them to Ukraine.
