Ukraine will receive 60 PT-91 Twardy tanks in a few days

The Polish tanks are heavily modified versions of the Soviet T-72.

Poland will hand over 60 PT-91 Twardy tanks to Ukraine in the coming days. This was stated by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a joint press conference with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We will also hand over our very good PT-91 tanks in the next few days. The next 60 tanks will arrive in Ukraine,” Morawiecki said, commenting on the delivery of the first Leopards.

PT-91 Twardy is a deep modernization of the Soviet T-72M tank, which the Poles carried out already in the post-Soviet era. Until recently, it was the main battle tank of Poland.

Sweden will give Ukraine IRIS-T and Hawk air defense systems in one package with tanks

The Swedes decided to help Ukraine protect the skies from Russian attacks.

Sweden will donate IRIS-T and Hawk air defense systems to Ukraine as part of a new military aid package that will also include Leopard tanks. This was stated by Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonsson, whose words are quoted by SVT.

“Ukraine needs air defense systems, it is absolutely essential for Ukraine that Russia does not gain air supremacy. This is an opportunity that we must ensure in the long term,” Jonsson said.

The Minister noted that the decision to announce a new package of military assistance on the anniversary of the Russian invasion was not accidental.

Zelensky on negotiations with Russia: I don't think about it just theoretically

The President seeks to involve the countries of Latin America and Africa, as well as India and China, in the peace formula.


President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was theoretically not thinking about negotiations with Russia to end the war.

“I don’t think theoretically how these negotiations can go through and what it is. We are taking concrete steps. Ukraine has initiated a peace formula at the G20,” Zelensky said.

The President noted that the peace formula reflects Ukraine's vision of ending the war.


"We proposed steps. Today we see interest in the implementation of this peace formula and support," Zelensky added and thanked the 141 countries of the world that supported the resolution on peace in Ukraine at a meeting of the UN General Assembly yesterday.

"The next step I see is to attract as many states as possible for the first founding summit. I want it to be productive. And I really want to put the squeeze on and finish it off so that it is where there will be a large number of states of the world. I work together with our team and partners to ensure that there are not only states - strategic partners that support us ... We are working to have representatives from different continents," the president said.

He added that he wants to involve the countries of Latin America and Africa, as well as India and China, in the peace formula.


"Our task is to involve absolutely everyone and show the world: here it is = oh, respect for territorial integrity, for the UN Charter, for life and the rights of people to live. I believe that the more countries we attract from all continents of the world, the more our support," Zelensky stressed.

Its just a symbol, that 60 PT 91 will be more usefull than those few Leopards but Ukraine need to start using west made tanks.

Germany has upped the number of Leopard 2A6 MBTs that it will send to Ukraine by 4. They will now send 18 Leopard 2A6 MBTs to Ukraine, rather than the 14 they had initially planned to send.

At the time I made my post, the additional Canadian tanks were rumored, but not confirmed, which is why I had them in my "expected deliveries" category, but they've, obviously, now been announced.

As for the Sweden Leo 2's, I've made that mistake before and I continue to do it lol. For some reason I have it in my head that the Swedish tanks are the A4 variant. Thank you for the correction. I'll do my best to remember next time!

Swede uses the 2A5 + add on roof armor + local BMS = Strv122

I'd like to see Finland up their donation number of Leo 2s. I fully understand their unique position of being right on the Russian border and not yet part of NATO, but they have about 200 Leopard 2 tanks. I'd like to see them commit at least 10 of their Leo 2A4s. They don't have to send their newer A6s, but some of their older Leo 2s would be nice!
