The West definitely pays much more for our military equipment than Russia does, but Western equipment generally out performs comparable Russian equipment. For example, Russian artillery has been getting eviscerated in Southern Ukraine, because the Russians have inferior counter battery radar and because in PRACTICE (don't believe the capabilites the Russians claim their equipment has) Western 155mm far outranges most Russian 152mm and is far more accurate. Before the war, one senior Western defense official said, Russia could make 100 tanks a year; now they are producing 200.
Western officials also believe Russia is on track to manufacture two million artillery shells a year — double the amount Western intelligence services had initially estimated Russia could manufacture before the war.
As a result of the push, Russia is now producing more ammunition than the United States and Europe. Overall, Kusti Salm, a senior Estonian defense ministry official, estimated that Russia’s current ammunition production is seven times greater than that of the West.
Russia’s production costs are also far lower than the West’s, in part because Moscow is sacrificing safety and quality in its effort to build weapons more cheaply, Mr. Salm said. For instance, it costs a Western country $5,000 to $6,000 to make a 155-millimeter artillery round, whereas it costs Russia about $600 to produce a comparable 152-millimeter artillery shell, he said.

Ukraine already blew off 70k+ amount of ukrainians in this counteroffensive like it was nothing to the point Ukraine started an arguement with NATO that planned out the offensive along with pushing alot of new mobilization mandates of throwing students, women into the battleifield and requesting extradition from other countries because they need bodies compared to 270 russians signining either volunteer or miliary contracts with the war going on and the early 300k reserves are still outside Ukraine training. I hate to say it but despite Ukraine basically being in the top 5 armies in the world with so much NATO equipment, NATO training and NATO planning they are still considered an appetizer and Poland is probably going to be the main dish next since it seems they have better equipment to work with.
Inflation has been rampant in Russia, despite every effort to sell off foreign currency in an attempt to manipulate and stabilize their currency. They're gutting their treasury to fund this war, with a currency that has similar value to that of monopoly money.
