Ukraine: Mysterious saboteurs have carried out an operation - two Russian planes have been destroyed
Two planes and a helicopter have been "severely damaged" as a result of an attack on a Russian military air base in the Moscow region on Monday.
"Unknown saboteurs" have planted explosives on the base, which they have subsequently detonated. The Russian authorities are currently investigating how this group was able to penetrate this 'highly guarded' area.
This is claimed by the Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine (HUR)
on Telegram , adding that it is the Chkalovsky air base, which is located 25 kilometers northeast of the Russian capital.
A Russian AN-148 transport aircraft and an IL-20 surveillance aircraft have been damaged, it says. At the same time, an MI-28N helicopter has been damaged.
The attack has caused "a lot of hysteria"at the top of the Russian military command, the Ukrainian intelligence service claims, because so-called "doomsday planes" and reconnaissance planes belong to the air base.
It has not been possible for Berlingske to independently verify the report.
