To take less than 1% of Ukrainian territory thise year.

Their offensive this year has been another debacle.

Not likely, unless something substantial changes in terms of Western aid and the quality of equipment the West is committed to sending. I suspect the war will largely remain a stalemate for the foreseeable future, with 1-2% of the territory traded back and forth and whichever side is on the offensive chewing through substantial amounts of irreplaceable armor.

Ukraine's population will drop to as low to 15 million, in 2100, a little more than Azerbaijan, Portugal or Greece.

It's best to utilize the available population in Russian controlled territory to recruit and expand the army before they run out of use.
