Following the lead of The Netherlands

and the trio of Sweden

, Denmark

and Norway

, Germany

has announced the third $500 million usd military aid package for Ukraine in the scheme that will see Ukrainian allies purchase billions of dollars worth of critical military equipment, including air defense systems, armored vehicles, munitions, spare parts, etc, from USA

.
This third tranche will bring the total funds raised for the weapons scheme to $1.5 Billion usd. Germany is reportedly working for a couple other countries that are contributing to the fund and remaining anonymous at this time.
While countries such as France

and Britain

are more likely to spend their money in their own domestic defense industries in support of Ukraine, there are plenty more countries that could absolutely purchase weapons from the Americans in these $500 million usd tranches. I'd like to see Canada

team up with the Baltic states and Australia

to send another tranche, for example. I also think that the European Union

would be wise to give Ukraine a $5 Billion usd loan, allowing them to purchase 10 tranches of weapons on their own. The U.S. industry is now humming and has increased weapons production to meet the moment (while Europe slowly comes to life), Ukraine needs as much money as they can right now to take advantage of Trump's willingness to sell large tranches of weapons.
Germany says it will work with Ukraine's Western allies to provide military aid worth up to $500 million. This aid will be delivered using a new NATO supply line.
