Claims I have seen so far

>Russian Geran enter Poland and Moldova
>Some of these drones were supposedly also launched from Belarus
>Belarus has jets in the air, some said they were to escort the drones other say they are trying to shoot them down since they aren't theirs
>Some say that this was just a warning shot
>Some are saying that they were targetting a airbase and that there was a impact (Why on Earth would they just use a handful of gerans in a first strike rather than throwing their entire stockpile at NATO?)
>Some are saying it is a false flag/EW/Everything under the sun
>A F-35 allegedly got jammed
>Poland allegedly said this isn't happening (wat)

Legitimately I don't know if this was a nothingburger or if something just happened. This is even worse trying to figure out than the hours that came after the 12 Day War's ceasefire declaration

It's likely a nothing burger. Russia is likely seeing what they can get away with in terms of invading Polish air space to attack Ukraine from a new attack vector. Ultimately, the big western players (USA and Germany primarily) will downplay the situation and Poland will follow suit.

Ultimately, years later, the solution to the Russian problem remains the same. The West must simply choose to view Russia as an existential threat and fund the war effort accordingly, otherwise, they're simply keeping Ukraine in the fight without providing them the conventional war fighting assets required to force Russia to the negotiating table.

🇺🇸 + 🇪🇺 + 🇨🇦 + 🇬🇧 + 🇳🇴 spent more than $10 Trillion usd in response to Covid-19. If they combined to spend even 1/3 of that to support Ukraine 🇺🇦, combined with Ukraine's yearly $40+ Billion war budget, Russia would be in a world of "hurt". $3.5 Trillion usd is all that it would take if the funds were surged over a 2 year period.

It's simply a matter of desire for Ukraine to win. Western capacity to ramp up production is there, but money talks. If you start through around contracts worth tens of billions of dollars, they'll bend over backwards to surge production.

" Attention, during today's attack by the Russian Federation carrying out strikes on targets located in the territory of Ukraine, our airspace was repeatedly violated by drone-type objects. An operation is underway aimed at identifying and neutralizing the objects. On the orders of the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, weapons have been deployed, and services are actively working to locate the downed objects. We emphasize that the military operation is ongoing, and we urge people to stay at home. The most threatened areas are the Podlaskie, Mazowieckie, and Lubelskie voivodeships.
"On the order of the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces, weapons were used." We are therefore facing an unprecedented situation in the modern history of our country. Several to a dozen Russian drones entered our airspace tonight, and the Operational Commander issued an order to shoot them down. "

For the first time in this war part of Polish air space was closed and weapon was used to shot down drones.
Well, we'll see what happen next. That was CLEAR provocation.
Our Saab 340 had first combat use.
Polish F-16 and Dutch F-35 was used to shot down drones.

Rare footage of the use of the Russian robotic complex "Courier" in battles in Ukraine. The "Courier" robots are equipped with electronic warfare, which itself detects the frequencies of FPV drones and suppresses their operation at a distance of up to 300 meters. The robot is controlled at low encrypted frequencies. The robot was used in the northern direction in Donbass, near the village of Fedorovka. A Russian assault group attacked a stronghold of the Ukrainian army from the flank. The group used electronic warfare to suppress the drones, but it failed. After that, the "Courier" robot was used. With the help of electronic warfare, the robot suppressed the work of the Ukrainian drones. The fire impact of the robot and the smoke screen suppressed the work of the Ukrainian infantry. As a result of the battle, the village of Fedorovka was abandoned by the Ukrainian army.

Footage of an attempt to land a Ukrainian landing force from three boats on a gas-producing rig off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea. The landing operation of the Ukrainian group was interrupted by the Russian naval detachment "Espanola", using FPV drones launched from boats. As a result of the drone attack, the Ukrainian group lost a boat and, having collected the wounded and dead, retreated in two groups. One group went towards Romania, to Zatoka, the other - to Odessa. The types of drones and boats used are not reported.

The European Union 🇪🇺 announced a $6 Billion usd fund today for the support of Ukraine's drone industry. The massive pool of money is being loaned by the G7 and will be financed using funds from frozen Russian assets. The fund will enable Ukraine to manufacturer tens of thousands of long range attack drones, surveillance drones and short range fpv drone, both inside Ukraine and at locations throughout Europe through contracting processes. An undisclosed percentage of the funds are also earmarked for innovation and the further integration of AI into drones, for better targeting and subversion of Russia's jamming / electronic warfare systems.

Because of this news we have 3 politicians confirming the same thing.

https://www1.ru/news/2025/09/10/ore...azrabotku-novogo-bolee-moshhnogo-oruziia.html
"Hazel" and its shadow: Russia hinted at the development of a new more powerful weapon

Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee, made it clear that in the event of the appearance of an enemy on the battlefield, Russia will respond not only with political measures, but also with weapons that are superior in their destructive power to any known weapon.

"We can use weapons that the enemy has not seen yet. This is not the Hazel, it is much more unpleasant. There will be no one to bury after it."
Andrei Kolesnik, member of the State Duma Defense Committee

Kolesnik stressed that these weapons have not yet been used on the battlefield. But if Russia uses them, the consequences will be a shock to the whole world.

Earlier, the Oreshnik complex has already become a symbol of the power of the domestic military-industrial complex, and reports of its possible modernization were actively discussed in specialized circles. However, Kolesnik's current hint indicates that we may be talking about a fundamentally new class of weapons, which even the expert community does not yet know about.

Some analysts associate such statements with information about the latest tests of hypersonic technologies and electronic suppression systems. Others believe that we are talking about the so-called "asymmetric response" of Russia - that is, about such strikes from which the enemy's infrastructure will simply cease to function.
https://topcor.ru/30040-rossija-uve...kih-principah.html?ysclid=mffoei3myc724185673
Russia is forced to increase the production of the most powerful weapons. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. At the same time, the official stressed that we are primarily talking about weapons based on new principles.
https://tass.ru/politika/18722523?ysclid=mffpyh6td18587550
Weapons based on new physical principles will ensure the security of countries in the near future, and the Russian authorities understand this. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the moderators of the EEF sessions.

"If you look at the sphere of security, then weapons based on new physical principles will ensure the security of any country in the near historical future. We understand this perfectly well and are working on it," Putin said.

Weapons based on new physical principles involve the use of qualitatively new or previously unused technologies and principles of operation. Such types of weapons usually include, in particular, laser, infrasound, radio frequency and others.
Rewind on the classified to publicly known missile Hazel
https://m.vz.ru/society/2024/12/23/1305067.html

"A Historic Event in the Rocket and Space Field". With these words, President Vladimir Putin characterized the appearance of Russia's latest Oreshnik missile. What characteristics confirm the unique capabilities of this type of weapon and why is it a fundamentally important step forward?

The Oreshnik missile system only at first glance resembles medium-range ballistic missiles (IRBMs) developed during the Soviet era. In fact, the Russian defense industry has taken a significant step forward by creating weapons that give Russia fundamentally new combat capabilities. Hazel is not the event of the year, it is a historic event in the rocket and space industry. Nothing like this has ever happened with this type of weapon," Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out its importance at the end of last week.

To understand the engineering excellence of the Oreshnik MRBM, it is worth recalling the video of the arrival of its warheads, filmed from several points at once during the strike of this missile on the Yuzhmash plant on November 21, 2024. First of all, the video gives an idea of the layout of the warhead of this missile. Before us is the arrival of six packages of six warheads each, which in total gives a combat load of 36 warheads. In itself, this is unprecedented - never before in the history of the rocket and space industry have missiles been created with dozens of multiple warheads, and even homing ones.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the warheads of the "Hazel" were inert, that is, they did not carry explosives, representing mock-ups of warheads. Nevertheless, even in this configuration, the Oreshnik armored vehicles were equipped with all standard thermal protection and maneuvering systems.
Thermal protection is a key issue. The speed of the Hazel AP, which they have when approaching the target, is known - Mach 10 (M, x10 speed of sound, about 3.4 km/s). According to the Ukrainian side, this speed was even 11M (more than 3.7 km/s). Most ICBMs and intermediate-range missiles are characterized by a lower velocity of the AP entering the atmosphere, which ranges from 3 to 5 M. At such speeds, the heating of the AP envelope is moderate. However, along with the speed, the temperature of the warhead also increases.

This means that Russian designers have come up with materials for Oreshnik that can withstand this temperature, and this is a truly outstanding achievement. Previously, humanity had not been able to create anything like this, at such speeds the warheads lost controllability or simply self-destructed.

It is thanks to such materials that it was possible to increase the speed of the warheads and make the kinetic energy the main damaging factor of the Hazel. Therefore, the "Hazel" allows you to hit any protected bunker or underground plant, ensuring the penetration of the explosive charge to a considerable depth and its "pin" accuracy, due to the BB individual guidance system.
The second achievement of historical scale is the invulnerability of the "Hazel" in the confrontation with air defense systems. On December 19, President Putin proposed to the West a "high-tech duel of the 21st century": to choose an object to be hit in Kyiv, to concentrate any Western-made air defense and missile defense systems there in advance, and then try to intercept the strike of our missile. The president's speech mentioned three such systems: the MIM-104 Patriot PAC-3 air defense system, the THAAD air defense system and the Aegis Ashore missile defense system - a ground-based version of the Aegis ship complex, deployed in two position areas in Romania and Poland.

The aforementioned complexes have no chance to reach the Hazel when it is in the acceleration section of its trajectory and is most vulnerable. The launch range of the "Hazel" exceeds 5000 km and corresponds to a medium-range ballistic missile, while the maximum range of the longest-range Western missile defense system, Aegis Ashore, does not exceed 1200 km.

In the area of the apogee of the ballistic trajectory, the "bus" stage of the "Hazel" can theoretically be intercepted by the SM-3 missile of the Aegis Ashore complex. In practice, the probability of such an event is close to zero. As the president put it, "it takes time to fly such a distance, and in a few seconds we begin to separate warheads - and that's it, the train has left."
And indeed, the Hazelnut's hypersonic warheads instantly "dive" into the atmosphere at the apogee, after which THAAD and Aegis Ashore are immediately eliminated from the game. Their missiles are designed only for transatmospheric interception of targets, and in the dense layers of the atmosphere they are not capable of any complex maneuvers.

The Patriot PAC-3 cannot hit the warheads of the Hazel for another reason - its missiles are too slow in the atmosphere. Patriot in the MIM-104F (PAC-3) modification is capable of intercepting only targets at a speed not higher than 1600 m / s and at an altitude of up to 40 km. While the "Hazel" flies these 40 km of altitude in a time of about 10 seconds at a speed of more than 3700 m / s.

Finally, it is worth mentioning another, already geostrategic importance of Hazel. With a claimed range exceeding 5,000 km, the Hazel is capable of shooting from Russian territory at all of Europe, including Portugal, the United Kingdom and Scandinavia, as well as the entire Middle East and North Africa.

In the Pacific theater, not only all of Japan and South Korea, but also American bases in Guam and Okinawa fall into its zone of destruction. And when firing from Chukotka, the entire Pacific coast of the United States, up to Los Angeles.

The launch of the "Hazel" can only be prevented by a preemptive strike on a self-propelled launcher. But in order to do this, the enemy will first have to find it in the Russian expanses.

At the same time, the cost of such an intermediate-range missile will be much lower than ICBMs, especially per ton of throwing weight. And mass production will bring the cost of using the "Hazel" closer to that of operational-tactical missiles such as "Dagger" and "Iskander".

According to the statements made, Russia already has a stock of ready-to-use systems like the "Hazel". In the case of group use, the damage inflicted on the enemy will be comparable to the damage caused by nuclear weapons. This is another unique military-engineering feature of this missile, previously unimaginable.

With the advent of the "Hazel", Russia received the ability to nuclear deterrence by non-nuclear methods, which was also unimaginable before.

Before Hazel, there was an impressive "hole" between conventional and nuclear weapons, where conventional weapons could no longer help, and nuclear weapons were too powerful. Now, the possible future use of "Hazel" against NATO's Western allies does not mean an instant transition from armed confrontation to a global thermonuclear conflict. And this is the meaning of any deterrence – to keep the enemy from "taking steps up" on the ladder of escalation by threatening unacceptable losses at the existing level.

And yes, the world in this version has already de facto become multipolar, because China, North Korea and Iran, apparently, will create analogues of the "Hazel" faster than the United States and its allies. Just as they created their maneuvering hypersound earlier than the Americans. So the historical significance of hypersonic weapons, the next stage of improvement of which was the "Hazel", we have yet to fully assess much later and after the fact. The main thing is that it was Russia that took the first step in this direction.
Summary on the significance of Hazel from other missiles.
1. Missile has 36 homing warheads when released. Well known ballistic missiles or re-entry vehicles when re-entering the earth atmosphere tend to slow down like mach 3 to 5. Because of new material to withstand high temperature the warheads when re-entering the earth can exceed at speeds of mach 10. Many research papers have shown that hypervelocity (kinetic bombardment for example) makes a bigger boom on impact then slower speed targets especially if they have an explosive charge
2.The warheads get released at the apogee of the flight ceiling offering no time for air defenses to target the missile before the 36 warheads get released.
1757634136629.png 1757634177681.png
Most air defense systems have very low altitudes SAMs which some believe most ballistic missiles are still in that phase when re-entering the orbit and releasing the warheads way later. Like if there is an air defense that has a SAM for 150kms. The Agni-5 for same range as Hazel has like a 600km altitude, so it is assumed that's when the warheads of hazel get released. SM-3 has a 1,200km range while the Hazel is described to exceed 5000kms but the speed of the Hazel to get to its Apogee 1st and then releasing the warheads to fly to their targets is when the SM-3 is useless. And also, the SM-3 missiles are not designed for complex maneuvers at dense layers where the maneuverable warheads are released. Of course, besides high temperature material breakthrough the high altitude drop off is what accelerates the warheads at high speeds to their targets.

Assuming the velocity and warhead charge are not enough from the Hazel, the latest politician sounds like he is talking about something more destructive than the Hazel that is in their possession. So I am assuming maybe some new principle in physics or design that causes more destruction that can't be too obvious as just a nuke nuclear warhead which is an already a well-known powerful weapon. Discovery in physics is a constant thing then just "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction" Ufimtsev discovered some formula for stealth aircrafts that 2 skunkwork engineers praised him for as the Rosetta stone for stealth, and in 2011 their physicists found a way to form a communication with an object using plasma. Classified is classified but they have a lot of cards in their hands to play.

A Russian sniper from the 5th Guards Brigade, 51st Guards Army of the Southern Military District, spoke about combating heavy drones of the Ukrainian army. The difficulty of this work and training is that shooting occurs at an upward angle. Accordingly, the angle of the bullet is completely different. Therefore, there are some nuances regarding the training of snipers to combat drones. Now the longest distance to defeat drones is 800 meters.

Unusual footage of a Russian drone, presumably the Molniya, attacking a Ukrainian vehicle has been published. At first glance, the video is typical of the current military action. But the video was filmed from a Ukrainian interceptor drone, which for some unknown reason did not attack the Russian drone. The video was filmed in the Kramatorsk area

Today Britain 🇬🇧 announced a new $200 million usd aid package for Ukraine. The package consists of supplies, energy infrastructure and support designed reinforce Ukrainian heating and electricity throughout the winter months.

As we descend into fall, it's important that Ukraine allies begin preparing Ukraine for the inevitable Russian onslaught of missiles and drones and their cities will face.

Russia running short of fuel here and there, it seems. I assume there has been a lot of damage to Russian refineries/fuel stocks/fuel distribution infrastructure due to Ukrainian action.

Just as Ukraine cannot stop all attacks on its infrastructure, Russia cannot stop all attacks on its oil infrastructure.

OPEC+ is raising production, world economic activity is being suppressed by Trump's tariffs. A drop in world economic activity typically leads to a reduction in demand for crude. This would be a good time for Ukraine to consider attacking crude-loading facilities at Russian ports, reducing Russia's capacity to export crude - without provoking a spike in worldwide crude prices.

PS Reduciing Russian crude revenues by reducing its ability to export crude seems a much better approach to me than pressuring customers to stop buying Russian crude.
