As expected, today NATO officially made a commitment of $160 Billion usd worth of military aid, support and equipment for Ukraine. $80 Billion usd for each of 2026 and 2027, some of which will come from the European Union loan and the rest of which will come from the individual budgets of 31 members.

Ukraine disabled 21 Russian oil tankers in the Azov Sea, over the course of two nights. These tankers specifically refueled Crimea and pumped fuel to larger ships in the Mediterranean. Russia left them undefended, so Ukraine systematically destroyed each of their bridges / nerve centers. They published video proof of the drone strikes on 17 of the 21 tankers.

Yet another effort aimed at the destruction of all humaniterian infrastructure in (and in support of) Crimea, with the aim of making the Peninsula uninhabitable for Russian citizens.

Yes, Ukraine can make Crimea uninhabitable. Problem is that, due to its geography, Russia could do the same if Crimea were in Ukrainian hands. I guess it's going to become a wasteland until the war finishes.

How is Russian tourism, perhaps the mainstay of Crimea's economy, going? Not too well, I guess. Will a lot of Russians switch to going on holiday to Turkiye instead?
