Putin proposed that Ukraine should be disarmed as part of a peace agreement. That is not going to work for European fighter OEM's. SAAB and Dassault will possibly have contracts with Ukraine to supply 250+ fighters before peace is agreed.
Does Putin need to start becoming realistic? There is no chance that Ukraine will agree to his maximalist demands. Nor does it seem probable that the European countries will pressure Ukraine to accept them.
Whatever, as time goes by Russia's position becomes weaker and weaker and its negotiating position becomes weaker and weaker. Is Putin going to run Russia into the ground before he agrees to negotiate? Sounds like a very bad idea from the point of view of Russia's future welfare.
