The French aircraft manufacturer will cooperate with Ukraine on a number of programs, including a helicopter one.

Ukroboronprom will cooperate with the French aircraft manufacturer Airbus on a helicopter program. This was announced during the forum Big construction: aviation and tourism on Thursday, November 25, said the head of the concern, Yuri Gusev.





"We have planned certain joint actions together with Airbus and not only in the creation of a national airline, but also cooperation in the direction of the helicopter program. In addition, we are considering the creation of a service center, which we are discussing with our partners," he said.

Airbus Vice President for Development Jacques Gareg said that the contract with the Ministry of Internal Affairs allowed the company to develop cooperation, including in terms of service support in Nizhyn and the development of a training school in Kremenchug.

He also said that Airbus will need partners in Ukraine.

"One of the big challenges we face is the continuation of servicing our direction. And we will need partners in Ukraine. We must strengthen this cooperation in the direction of helicopters," Gareg emphasized.

Also, after the creation of a national air carrier, Ukraine and Airbus can cooperate in the aerospace industry.

Ukraine intends to invest 34 billion hryvnia in the development of aircraft construction until 2030. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal at the Big Construction: Aviation and Tourism Forum on Thursday, November 25.



He noted that 45 high-tech aircraft manufacturing enterprises had already received tax incentives on profits, VAT, land tax, customs privileges on the import of high-tech equipment by January 1, 2025.

The action plan will provide for the modernization of the production of passenger and transport aircraft of the AN, Antonov family, Mi helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, import substitution of goods from the Russian Federation.

“In conjunction with the agreement with the EU on the open skies, I am sure that this will give a rapid impetus to the development of domestic air transportation, aircraft construction, the tourism industry. And most importantly, this is a huge number of jobs for Ukrainians,” Shmyhal said.

In turn, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the decision to build two new airports in eastern Ukraine and in Transcarpathia.

“Today Ukraine is investing billions of hryvnias in the modernization of regional airports. These are new runways, these are new terminals in Chernivtsi, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Krivoy Rog, Dnipro ...
