At issue was the T-7’s engine—the same engine used in the F/A-18 Super Hornet—which would have required an expensive redesign before entering service.

If carrier capability is not required Hürjet could bid for this tender as it is, no modification required given no engine modifications required.

I found out that bidding deadline is around Fall 2026. And looking at two remaining bidders, Hürjet would really meet the advanced supersonic jet requirements.
Don’t know anything about Sierra Nevada other than they claim they will have to be cheapest running costs.
Leonardo’s offer M-346N lacks CV landing gears as well but run by many air forces.
Under ideal conditions Id say piece of cake but of course, politics.
