America Voting to Elect a President

The upcoming American presidential election presents a choice between the left-leaning Kamala Harris and the right-wing Donald Trump. Over the past 40 years, presidential elections have largely been driven by the prevailing issues and the candidates' perceived ability to address them.

In 1981, America replaced Jimmy Carter with Ronald Reagan after the humiliation of the Iranian hostage crisis. Reagan's tough stance appeared to be the answer to restore national pride, and Iran released the hostages just as he took office.

Similarly, in 1991, economic troubles following the Iraq invasion led to George H.W. Bush's defeat. Voters turned to Bill Clinton, an economic pragmatist, to tackle the country's financial woes. However, not all choices seemed ideal. In 2000, the Supreme Court's decision handed George W. Bush (Jr) the presidency, a period marked by 9/11 and prolonged conflicts in the Middle East.

Barack Obama, a charismatic and eloquent leader, took over during a time of average economic growth and significant economic engagement with China. During his presidency, America saw below-average prosperity and the rise of China as a formidable economic and military power, challenging the U.S. in the Indo-Pacific region. This situation led to the election of Donald Trump, whose policies included imposing tariffs on Chinese imports and urging allies to take more responsibility for their own defense.

Trump’s tenure was succeeded by Joe Biden, perceived as a Washington insider with less political charisma. Biden's presidency has faced significant challenges, including a chaotic military withdrawal from Afghanistan and ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, which have not bolstered American prestige. The U.S. support for Arab Palestinians over Israel and the growing assertiveness of China, particularly regarding Taiwan, have further complicated the geopolitical landscape.

As Americans prepare to vote, they face a critical decision: whether to continue the current trajectory with Kamala Harris, who would likely maintain Biden's policies, or return to Donald Trump's tougher, more confrontational approach. Each candidate brings distinct qualifications: Harris, with her background as a prosecuting attorney, emphasizes law and order, while Trump, a successful but controversial businessman, promises strict policies on immigration, economic competition with China, and minimal changes to gun control laws.

The choice is clear yet challenging. A vote for Harris signals a preference for continuity and moderate governance, while a vote for Trump indicates a desire for decisive action and a shift in national priorities. The outcome will reveal how America plans to address both domestic and international challenges in the coming years.

The party position on Kamala Harris is clear. They were lukewarm on Biden continuing but have concentrated their support for Harris. Her being Afro-Asian woman has attracted a large number of party support and fund raising from women and minorities. What exactly she means on issues of the day, America has not heard much from her. On the other hand America sees Trump’s position clear, but his organization is totally confused on Harris becoming a challenger so late. They have not found which way to train their guns and on what issues etc.

You cant just get rid of incompetence at the nominal figure head level (some prima donna general essentially, that DEI has now made a lot worse).

It needs to go 3 - 4 layers deep well into field officer and even company officer and NCO sometimes....depending on the rot thats been grown that such ranks are beholden to (the prima donna ivory tower stuff).

Accountability matters, not just nominal shoulder shrugging responsibility

*Secret service Counter sniper team's role is to neutralize threats that are looking in on the team from where the protected individual is. No necessary to put a counter sniper team wherever there is a clear line of site to the protected individual. As Hawley was suggesting.

*Until the investigation is concluded, they can't pass judgement and disciplinary actions, and rightly so.

*Director does not know if someone was posted on the roof or not. Or is he saying that someone wasn't posted on that roof? (Unclear)

It is just to show the ranks I mention. The prima donna resigned (she will be dealt with next year in harsher way) under pressure.

Now all the pressure points in the hierarchy decision making (above rank and file agents).... will be put under strain as simply the whistleblowers give way more information than the so called IG internal investigation..... potent compare and contrast stuff.

Like literally why was that roof not secured....the excuse from the prima donna to ABC (the roof was too sloped, before she even confirmed with her own ppl, thus openly betraying how this organisation works from the top down) and now whistleblower saying someone literally made the decision that the roof was "too hot" to put an agent up there....given they have had this long now to get these basic investigations done, yet still claim to not know who made these calls relevant to this site of extreme obvious interest.

Its just starting. The firings will come thick and hard later this year or next year. It isnt just the prima donna, officers in all positions of authority will be held to account and kicked out....no retirment pension given.

Oh, for sure! This system that you talk about managed to screw up so many things within these services and the law enforcement that a whole purge will be needed so they can come to the level they need to be at. If this whole fiasco gives a birth to the results I expect the USSS will only be one sector of the purge that is going to come.

Due to this case I saw a lot of opinions regarding the USSS and the law enforcements in general regarding how they hire their personnel, their policies, about their training, the people that are given a chance there and their opinions largely overlaps with your post.

I tried to analyze the tip of the iceberg with the information I managed to gather without getting too deep into the reasons for this epic fail, but I think you briefed it well.

This whole liberal shit spreading at so important places, I don't like. Putting politics aside for a moment and looking purely from a professional point of view with my limited knowledge on these issues makes me feel strange about their current capabilities and what I've been listening for all these years. It is obvious even for an ordinary person that things are going out of control. Even if we put the whole gender tolerance and gay shit aside for a moment, you can just look at the walking donuts in uniforms and you can grasp a bit about the state of affairs and the deeper you dig, the worst it gets. I mean, okay you want to hire even more women, non-binary people, gays, give the opportunity for a career, but man, you cripple everything you manage to touch. They play with fire and will get burned in the end, but the worst is we, the people on the other side of the world will get burned because of them too. Situations like these are only the visible symptoms. We can only imagine how deep rooted this incompetency is among these kind of services or any other institutions in the US.

Here's how the hearings are going so far.... apparently setting up basic drones is super tough work for a 3 billion/year funded agency.....and then refusing local law enforcement drones.....and not knowing who made that call to refuse it.

To add to the rest of the bleepshow house of cards falling all over the place now...

I've said that Trump will continue the current admin's policy vis-a-vis Ukraine, despite the rhetoric for domestic use, but the recent development in Zelensky's visit to Pennsylvania and tacit and maybe unintentional support for Harris, and his subsequent very cold reception by Trump might be enough for Trump to completely ignore his advisors and foreign policy establishment to do his own thing. Ukrainian's best chance, in case of a Trump win, is to coordinate a coup to oust Zelensky and bring someone Trump likes.

Trump likes Putin and North Korea's Kim the most. Who would you nominate for president of Ukraine?
I like Kim better :)

Kinda think Zelensky's days are numbered as leader no matter what happens, whoever gets in. There's going to come a point where reality sets in and he has to pursue talks, and if he doesn't there's a point where the people will get sick of him in-country.

Trump's ego has always been his biggest weak point, see his overly sensitive reactions to people talking about his rallies.

How come Donald Trump does not have a similar song or video like this?

He should do it.
