populism and demagoguery of any kind is always popular with lower-educated and badly-educated people as they have magical thinking about resolving of problems which leads to them always looking for heroes which can go solve their problems as they put their brains on flow. so obviously in a country which votes for Erdogan, and is dominated by messianic thinking of all kind, and cults of leadership Trump will be popular.

You seem to forget that in a patriarchal society like ours it doesnt matter if you are a professor or have a PHD,well known scientist,judge or whatever highest education you had you always vote for the family's(head of the family) choice.
That is our problem,we learn only to pass the exam to get the diploma,nothing more.
I experienced it in real life.
But no matter what,Trump is the better choice for our country(to me).

You are right, our difference is semantic; by education I do not mean diplomas and graduation from a university. A good high-school education (or even a middle-school one; all you need is one good teacher) which instills naturalism to replace any magical thinking that a person might have will beat any university diploma. Yeah I think Trump is better choice for us.

Only 1% will change its worldview thanks to that teacher(only 1 % of teachers are individual thinkers) which is ridiculously low.
Family indoctrination/pressure always wins.
Our society can only change by force or comfort(comfortable life situation)and since that will never happen in our lifetime,we should just forget it.

I don't think that; it's quite easy to teach critical thinking skills, media literacy skills, basics of anthropology and evolution, and the idiosyncrasy of the scientific method and naturalism compared to other modes of thinking.

Btw I'm not saying like people who vote for Harris are like this or whoever votes for Trump is uneducated, this was just a basic point about how demagoguery in general works better on people who have a simplistic view of the world.

There are people I know who think Trump will abolish the fed and stop the American billionaire class from taking their wealth and investment elsewhere and that the U.S. will return to the pre-1914 utopia. This is a sophisticated argument based on U.S. debt levels and how sustainable or unsustainable it might be at the end of the day and how the exclusivity of the fed exacerbates it or not. I think, based on character analysis, who Trump surrounds himself with and his record, this is delusional but it's not illiterate. The point is that the masses like demagoguery, and if a population falls for that simplistic rhetoric that's because of a lack of certain basic skills.

In terms of this election it seems it's more the case of the democratic base not showing up to vote as they didn't probably find Harris to be inspiring, and unlike 2020 the memory of Trump presidency has faded and normalized somewhat so there was not as much anti-Trump vote.
