The US did not deliver the paid F35s that we have been partners since 2001.

By removing Turkiye from the F35 program, they prevented the billion-dollar business share of Turkish companies.

After the S400 decision, CATSAA sanctions were imposed on Turkey. The strange thing is, the same law could not be applied to India, which bought the same system.

The US did not listen Turkey's security concern and cooperated with the PKK terroristsin Syria. While leaving Manbij, they handed over these lands to Russia.

The planes of the Russian air force, which carried out an operation against the Turkmens near our border, were shot down by the Turkish war planes after they continued their violations despite being warned many times. After this incident, we heard nothing but faint voices from our Western "allies" who couldn't have courage to make the eyes contact with Putin in these times. Some even talked about kicking Turkey out of NATO.

In Libya, the Western alliance led by France stood by Russia and carried out operations to cut off Turkey's logistical support to the legal government.

When we sold weapons to Ukraine, voices rose from Germany.

In order to liberate the region recognized as the occupied territory by the UN in the Karabakh war, Turkey qided with Azerbaijan but many NATO countries' companies imposed an arm embargo on Turkey.

Who need an enemy if you have such allies?

After these experiences, the only way Turkey should follow must be the way of its own interests.

Do you mean that quisling like Stoltenberg? He like Ursula von Leyden and most German politicians are CIA puppets....isn't it obvious? The EU and NATO always repeat American talking points while putting European interests in second place. Look at the German guy, he wants to shoot himself in the foot by sabotaging NS2 pipeline. While shutting down nuclear reactors in Germany and relying only on spot markets for gas pricing (very dumb)...Hahaha this is a joke of "leadership". They do not care about Europeans, we are nothing but pawns to them. They report to America first. Europe is a conquered continent, its time we free ourselves and build better relations with the East. Why are US troops in Germany since WWII? Why is NATO still around if Warsaw Pact is dead?

Lmao, this is what I've heard from dictators simps. Everyone is a CIA assets and a US puppet.

But you and your kind wouldn't ever question why Belarusian president acts like a literal Putin dogs. Waging wars against Ukraine even though both doesn't have any beef whatsoever.

LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Because russia is threatening everyone Isn't it a good excuse why nato is still around?
Look at Finland...next to Russia and NATO neutral. It has no issues with Russia.

Those who threaten Russia have problems. NATO is an offensive expansionary force, do you need evidence of its expansinary ambitions? What about NATO actions in Libya and Middle East? Very bad for European security.

NATO exists to justify American occupation of Europe and make the military corporations happy. They need a forver enemy like Russia otherwise they wouldn't know what to do with themselves.

Here's the thing. Great powers are going to do great power things. Either its the US, Russia or China all will do the same thing which is expanding an solidifying their power and influence WELL BEYOND their borders. That int'l politics 101 for you pal.

There's no point in accusing NATO as a tool for US power when the Soviet union once had the similar Warsaw pact and modern Russia has the CSTO.

What makes the difference is the US clearly plays this game really well, while not only consolidating its original NATO alliance but also expanding it to well beyond ex-Soviet client states. All the while the Soviet union disintegrate itself into irrelevance. Its just the US do this better then the Soviet or its Russian rival. Its not the US's fault that Russia is having shit allies and shit ability to convince people to like them.

Sorry for being harsh.

Finland and Sweden plan on joining nato while Austria also has plans to join in the future.

US Deputy Secretary of State Sherman:

“Turkey is part of NATO. My understanding on the S-400, F-16, F-35 issues is as follows, technical negotiations continue on the F-16. We know the S-400s are a bit of a long-term issue.

Maybe now is the time to solve this problem, to look for a different way. At this point we will look at what can be done. It all depends on the circumstances. We are meeting with our colleagues. Of course, you have laws, so do we. We have to say that nothing is impossible."

Of course having F-16V's and and F35's will be more than beneficial given the aging inventory.

Howeverall these issues should have been addressed in the previous years. If Turkey wants to re-join the programme they will likely not have the same level of partnership or the benefits that came with it i.e. $10 billion in revenue, experience with producing and maintaing 5th gen fighters, hosting the European F-35 Maintenance hub.

At most Turkey should buy a dozen or use the $1.4 billion to purchase as many as possible. The rest of the resources should be used to upgrade F-16s under the Özgür project as a stopgap solution until TF-X rollout.
