Michelle Bachelet has said wasn’t able to speak to any detained Uyghurs or their families during her controversial visit to Xinjiang, and was accompanied by government officials while in the region.

The UN human rights chief, who this week announced she would not be seeking another term, told a session of the 50th Human Rights Council in Geneva that there were limitations on her visit to the region in China, where authorities have been accused of committing crimes against humanity and genocide against the Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities.

We should just take Uyghurs into Türkiye and settle them in places where non Turks are high population.
thats for the short term. in the long term we the Turks should roll in to Urumqi and take over the whole territory.

No Mention of Uyghur ‘Genocide’ After UN Human Rights Commissioner Visits Xinjiang

The visit to China, Bachelet has emphasized, was not an investigation. However, Bachelet confirmed that her trip did include numerous meetings with people from various sectors of Xinjiang autonomous region. She visited and spoke with prisoners and with former trainees from the vocational education and training centers. These meetings, she stated, were organized by her delegation independently of the government of China.

All these meetings were “unsupervised and [they were] organized by us,” said the high commissioner at a press conference. The purpose of the trip was to hold a direct discussion with the government of the People’s Republic of China, said Bachelet, in order to share each party’s concerns and explore the path towards “more regular and meaningful interactions in the future.”

Following her trip, Bachelet also took the time to praise China’s success fighting poverty. The People’s Republic has lifted 800 million citizens out of poverty in the last 40 years, according to a report issued by the Washington, DC-based World Bank. In addition, Bachelet commended China for its success passing legislation to defend the rights of women, and for the Asian giant’s support of the United Nations sustainable development goals.

Quote: I visited Kashgar prison and the Kashgar Experimental School, a former Vocational Education and Training Centre (VETC), among other places.
Quote: Violent acts of extremism have a terrible, serious impact on the lives of victims, including those tasked to protect the community. But it is critical that counter-terrorism responses do not result in human rights violations. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:tell that to Turkey and a hundred other countries as well.
