first I never denied the the KCR are such a letdown, but that doesn't mean we should 100% give up on the project, steady improvement of the basic design should be pursued, again it's part of learning curves of designing a ship.
basically trials and errors are normal, and even if it fails. It's still a progress.
FPB-57 (Luursen) and Mandau (S.Korea) are not designed by our naval engineers, KCR-60 is. So give em time,

this is achieved through evolutionary means spanning almost a century, and this is from a 1st world country. Consider Indonesia's lack of contribution in science and arts of warfare in general, we should not be that upset about KCR-60 performance.
That's why they need to import some technology from aboard, getting a sample of one best design aboard and Made study about it, getting the necessary knowledge and technical skill to further improve the local design. Not necessarily abandon them but to get the new technology it is.
