i hope PT.PAL admin won't defend 28knots speed on KCR this time, just called it normal missile patrol vessels if they still decide to use 28knots speed.
Guess what? They defended it. They also said that KCR is based on other parameter such as displacement, which doesn't get wrong btw, just seem they try to justify their capability. They also start bullsh1tting about how stealthy RCS is needed in Fast Attack Craft/Fast Missile Boat to make up their flaw on KCR's speed, but as we know, KCR-60 RCS is bad.

28 knots is enough.

that is the standard max speed of most navy surface combatants. From the look of it they always employ the missile boat as part of flotilla along with larger corvette and frigate and not standalone squadron of missile boat.

i understand, but those 40-50knots speed in other so called fast attack craft are really welcomed in high speed interception/chase.

By March 2022 there gonna be four Freedom-class + two Independence-class that will be decommissioned. These ships are about 45 knots. Who knows maybe the US would offer them to anyone through EDA.

Not sure about the existing problem and the cost to fix them though.

Yes, the article clearly stated that the high operating cost is due to the maintenance requiring contractors. They aim to bring it down by doing it in-house.

Anyway, I would worry more about the technical reason they're being decommissioned (if any) and the cost to fix them.

“Kami memiliki target pada 10 November 2021, 70% seluruh persiapan ini akan selesai. Sehingga kami akan melakukan launching pada 10 November 2021 yang kemudian disebut dengan transformasi industri maritim 4.0,"
Today is 10th November 2021, the preparation for "whole local production" of submarine should be around 70% now, despite the unclear status of contract for another nagapasa class (also submarine from Europe), PT PAL still preparing for submarine production. Indicating that the submarine drama is nearing the climax.

Hmmm, whole local... anyway, did brazilian and India build their scorpene "whole local"? Without some part of hull being imported from Naval Group?

Talking about submarine and LPD, I think PAL will carry on building the planned submarine tender based on the lengthened Tarlac class

Off course once we reach the desired 12 boat fleet.

Then why bother putting the 'C'?

If we accept the 28 knots as 'C', does it mean we can put 'C' in all of our PKR and Diponegoro-Classes?

Maybe this why the Navy is looking to buy the TAIS GMFPB 67. Based from AH tweets the boat will be customed made for Indonesia using the GE propulsion system. Already got PSP from MoF. So it will be using diesel engines rather than turbine right?

1. There's not yet any standardize agreement on what speed constitute as "fast"
2. I wasn't fond of the name either, actually at that size we could classify the KCR-60 as (small) corvette. The Hellenic navy classifies the similarly sized Roussen FAC as corvette.
