I don't get it, why Turkey has to counter Russia and its not even accepted in the EU.

Why would you let Russia have it so easy? So they can get bigger and stronger and cause more problems for Turkey. Turkey should be sending in equipment, soldiers and advisors.

Now if you play it as dumb as you played it in Syria, then i understand why you would want to stay away.

As for Turkey in the EU, it would never happen because it would make Turkey much stronger and more influential. Turkey would become a leading nation within the bloc instead of a slave state like greece.

Turkey doesnt have to do anything, but Turkey must do what is in her interests. Countering the Russian threat is in Turkeys interests. Everywhere we look Russia opposes Turkey, Libya, Syria, Azerbaijan, Balkans, Middle east, North Africa, Central Asia.

Our mistake is always retaliating, we need to be pro-active. Constantly on the front foot. Ukraine offers so much to Turkey from technology, industry and geopolitical clout, you cannot let the Russians have it so easy.

Russians just yesterday were doing joint military operations with the ypg in Syria, Ukraine is too big a prize to simply ignore.

After the events throughout the last few years, I have come to believe that everything good happened to Turkey during the AKP period wasnt because of Erdo but because Erdo was more pro-US than the previous rulers; thus, the US rewarded Erdo and the Turks for being loyal beasts (as Ramsay Bolton once said in GoT) . When he wanted to break and create Turkey's own path, he couldnt break the clutches of the West

As long as dollar is the international currency, the Western hegemony will remain.
