Is it Kherson where the Russians have installed a Ukrainian Russian sympathizer as the cities mayor?, When the UA take Kherson back in a next couple of days, i hope they string her up on the nearest lamp post!!. she must be crapping her knickers right now, she really has nowhere to go!

@Nilgiri what you think about Ukraine proposal. India have all need things to replace russian

It is interesting idea, but there is no way to do that short of disbanding the whole UN and starting a new one etc (something I have said should be done long time ago).....as current UNSC members can just veto anything they dont like (including their removal + replacement lol).

BTW India recently at UNSC called for independent probe into the bucha massacres....

.....large parts of Indian media are also taking quite anti-Russian/Putin stance after Bucha evidence has come to light (unlike what we see in say China....as Indian media has larger field of scope past just strict/monitored govt mouthpieces).

This now adds to the (much earlier in war) Indian judge siding with rest of world judges at ICJ in calling for the war to be stopped (the Russian and Chinese judges were only ones that voted against that there).

So certainly rest of world can play large role in further convincing India to join their side (given India's size that takes time)... but I stress the convincing approach rather than pressuring approach.

How India winds down relationship with Russia has to be considered too, it cannot be done overnight given its reliance on certain key things.

I am following these things quite closely, as I would like my larger country to be on same page as I am on this....but I can also see why that is difficult to achieve given history and ongoing issues (with West) still.

Quislings generally will leave with Russians IMO.

This war now might go through several stalemate and cold war kind of situation....as Russia got real bloody nose so far and might take time off to lick wounds.....and muster something for later if they see weakness/opening to try exploit.

The "hot" war might come in phases over many years I fear/suspect... it will take some time to grind Russia down (even with number of sanctions taking toll on them)...... back to earlier frontline situation (and then take back Crimea and donbass itself etc)

Overall this only changes if russia does internal coup that is drastic enough.

Russian people for most part have 70% stalin support kind of thinking.....so any Russian leader that wants to wage war on someone can harness that fairly easy peasy.

That (populace psyche problem) is much larger problem to address in much more sustained way....it was squandered in various ways by West after USSR collapsed.....too much trust invested in get-rich scheme as solution.

The west misjudge the Russian character so badly, they can and should push the democracy agenda and Reform Russia internally in early 90's decade but alas they prefer to deal with Russian oligarch lead by Putin and his cronies and propel him up into today situation. Remind me on how the west nurtured the same kind of monster before like Saddam Hussein, Soeharto and among other.

In this conflict, when looking at how much Russian main weapon system being destroyed at scale not seen since Gulf War in Iraq 1991, and how much profesional soldier they lost so far (with elite VDV had been wiped out literally and must be taken out from theater of operation to salvaged the rest ) they need years to recuperated. And how much i am wishing the west to support Ukraine better than current stance, including lethal strategic equipment such as fighter, AShM, long range Missiles to fight back the Russian warfighting capability in Russian soil and bring the war home to the average Russian citizen.
