After what happen with Moskva, I start to think putting so much armament too tightly like that doesn't seems like a good idea afterall.
Hahaha...
You probably right, the safety issue really the concern here...
But between AH140 and FREMM, I think AH has better potential to become our AAW platform...
I think FREMM vls is capped at 32 cells..
Though of course it'll change if we plan to buy dedicated AAW destroyer next...

i guess there's nothing wrong putting the NSM on X-18 Antasena afterall, as long as we had a decent OTHT platform..

Still remember people mocking Antasena anti-ship variant claiming that it's perfect only for Iran :D

While we are talking about antasena, any update on the tank boat?
Have they tested the troops carrying and beach assault capability?

If they Made Antasena as part of swarm UAV Boats controlled from powerful mothership like LHD or Destroyer that's not problem

Current Iver Huitfeldt's missile configuration is good enough for me.
we are buying Iver or AH 140??
to me both of them is the same hull with a different weapon and sensors
i've just read the NS100 specs, i think its just another SMART-S while Iver have 2 Type of radars and each have their own purpose..
Search radar and Target Tracking radar...

if it have to be NS series cant they take the NS200???

Inter-service rivalry, perhaps? Or, well, you know it's nothing new here.
Is it possible to make it antasena like Singapore unmanned patrol Vessel
Possible? Of course. Whether or not there's an incentive to make it into one is a different matter though.

Search radar and Target Tracking radar..
Both SMART-L and APAR can do search and target tracking.
SMART-L for long range target search and tracking.
APAR for medium range target search and tracking with better accuracy + with 360° coverage will allow it to guide missile using Interrupted Continuous Wave Illumination (ICWI).

Ah, but you know, to at least try to see from different perspective, there might be some truly justified reasons why our Marine corps decide to pursue 155 mm SPH from different maker than Nexter.

I have no doubt that they have already tried their hands with Caesar and found that, for example, its traction on the beach is less than satisfactory for their needs. Or that they probably looking for a more "contained" gun turret or protected gun breech section instead of an open one. Or maybe because they just don't want to deal with another French-made products due to bad experiences with the AMX-10, or whatever.

Of course, those all are just my own assumption and they may all wrong. But then again, it's just my habit to try to think from different point of view.

Well getting stuff from eastern block is just the assumption of the writer.

If they want more wheels then they can get this variant.

Why the Army bought Caesar instead of eastern European solution.

Army got budget priviledge compared to Marine corps, and other thing is Caesar suitable for their use and easy to mobilize even using C130

CAESAR has both mobility and firepower, it is probably the lightest platform out of all, meaning the most flexible in terms of transportation. I don't see any advantage to choosing any other option than the CAESAR series.
