NATO and Swedish ISR-flights around Ukraine in April, collected intel is fed to ukrainian forces on the ground. Adoption of US and NATO equipment would improve response times to actionable intel tremendously.

Russians still have massive advantage in armor, artillery, air force and somewhat in manpower. Thanks to it they still manage to advance, although very slowly. During the whole April they managed to capture only few small villages.

The most critical is advantage in artillery, because lame Russian air force is countered by MANPADS and armor is effectively countered by anti tank missiles and NLOWs.

So now the Ukrainians started to receive artillery. They still need some time to train and organize artillery units. It should help neutralize Russian advantage in artillery.

that's what I said, a number of posts ago, about the arty and training -I agree with that ....
..the US thought they could attrit the NVA in Vietnam--with the US having air, naval, etc superiority-but they were wrong

One said there were a “number of indicators” pointing to an attack in the near future on the former Soviet state, which has only 3,250 soldiers in its army. A successful takeover would lead to Russian troops moving into the Black Sea port of Odesa, in Ukraine, from the west.



“We believe the Kremlin has already taken the decision to attack Moldova. The fate of Moldova is very crucial. If the Russians start to take control, we will, militarily, be an easier target and the threat to Ukraine will be existential,” said the source.

Sure, but I mean, that would be a *very* tall order right now. I'm sure it was part of the original plan going Kherson-Odessa and then linking up with Transnistria to push into Moldova. But how in the hell would they solve the logistics right now? Even if they rout the Moldovan army, the Ukrainians could just roll right in behind them?
