It makes sense for TurAF to get ef2000 with spare engines for baykar to get their hands on the engine for KE. Also, it would keep the costs down due to commonality and make its export to european countries more probable.
The EJ200 is roughly twice the size of the AI-322F, both in length and dry weight. But it has a huge advantage: not only does it produce more power thrust than the 2x 322F, but it is also more than 30% more efficient in terms of TSFC (Thrust-specific fuel consumption). Not to mention the fact that it is a full NATO standard engine all of its interfaces. So if KE goes ahead with the EJ200, this is great news for European aviation. It could multiply the interest in KE several times. And it means that the RAF will definetly show great interest in this system.

I wonder if Baykar will be able to adapt the KE to the EJ2000 engine without modifying the plane's size or doing other major modifications. We know the engine houseing diameter is large enough for one thing.

As you said, I don't think the engine diameter will be an big problem because a fully installed AI-222-25F (AI-322F design is based on AI-222K-25F) has a widest section of 880 mm, a height of 1084 mm, and a full length of 3070 mm. Very roughly, the real unknown here is the extra depth of about 1 meter required. The other issue is that one engine is 560 kg while the other is 1000 kg. If the engine clearance is not within these limits, a lot may have to change in the design of the aircraft.

I think she loves you back. 😂

How can an engine be this pretty? 😍

I'm praying for the day that this beauty further develops and matures to something similar; Only a Matter of Time. 🇹🇷

Guys! KE an outstanding UCAV but ej200 won't fit into it. It is twice as long than the current engine. The whole aircraft's structural design would need to be changed for integrating something like that.

We don't know if it was designed to accomodate that engine alone, it looked like it can accomodate larger engines in terms of volume. But still the weight change need to be addressed. They may have to change the structure of the plane but still it may cause a setback of several months and not more.

Well the current engine is almost too small for that aircraft lmao. It barely fits.

EJ200 is 157inches long. Which means 398cm.
The Motor Sich engine with afterburners of similar thrust level is the one they use in Hong-Du L15 jet. That is 314cm in length. There is a 78 cm length difference. There must be room to accommodate this extra length in the fuselage of KE.
But then again, TF6000 will be about the same length as Motor Sich engine. So there may be a precedent about the size of engine KE can house.
Weight problem is another issue of course.
On the other hand it may be easier to accommodate a single engine like EJ200 than having to alter fuselage and most aerodynamic parameters with it, to transform the plane to a twin engined one.
Remember that the extra weight of another engine or a single one like EJ200 will mean strengthening bulk heads around engine housing as well. So that will introduce extra weight too. These are questions that can best be answered by Selcuk Bayraktar and his team.
A single engine with 13400lbf military thrust will fly KE at high supercruise speeds easily with full payload. The 20000lbf afterburner thrust will enable it to perform carrier operations too.

BAYKAR and ROKETASAN signed a cooperation agreement for IIR Guided MAM-L, ÇAKIR and SUNGUR munitions!

Head of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir: "I ask our friends to prepare for at least 200 ÇAKIR and 1000 SUNGUR."

For Türkiye, this numbers should be at least 5 times of mentioned values.
We need at least 5k sungur for manpads only. We need to have more than 1000 çakır, and especially when we consider it will be used from.many platforms ,actually more than 2000 çakır missiles we need
For atmaca missile this number could be around 1000 , but a cost effective and widely used çakır it should be more than 2000.
We see Russia ,and it's depletion of stock just in 5-6 months. It needs Iranian UAVs to cover it's depleted stock of guided missiles.

KE is bigger than Gripen, Tejas, JF-17 and they all use engines similar in size to EJ200. We don't know how much space is available for the engine since we don't know how much space the internal weapon bays take but it should theoretically be possible.
