U214? But with x rudder
Type-214 Class itself evolves into several Class like Type-216 and then Type-218 SG Class but should we take Type-214 Class, i want it plain and simple like the original version, we have enough with these modifications resulting our Nagapasa Class.

This submarine Purchase kinda like tainted string. So many contenders and they give the best out of their inventory.

Dunno who will slip at last turn. Any clue anyone?

We've been waiting for the TKMS "audacious plan to make the German shipbuilder indispensible to Jakarta" for almost 1.5 years now.

Those three South African Type 209 subs are still there as well.

Some suggest we take both Scorpene and Type 214 Class but such an action is just a logistic suicide, a drain of exercise cost, logistic cost, etc but should we take Type 214 Class some have suggested, Thyssenkrupp Marine System offered technical audits on Nagapasa Class and free of charge evaluation on KRI Cakra, an offer we shouldn't underestimate and reconsider seriously.

Hisar-O+ IIR has a range of 35+km. Hisar-Rf has even longer range. Hisar-U (Siper Block-0) - (75km) most likely used as a technological step to reach the actual target (Siper Block-1) and Siper block-1 destroyed high speed target drone at a range around 95km in trials. The final Siper block-1 which is going to be delivered to Turkish Army in 2023 will have a range of 100km. Siper Block-2 will have a range of 150km (2024)

In this context, I think that Siper variant that Indonesia purchased will be Siper Block-1.

Indo Defence 2022: PT PAL lays out challenges faced in follow-on contract for Philippine Navy

Indonesian state-owned shipbuilder PT PAL has laid out the challenges that it is facing with the follow-on contract to supply the Philippines with two more landing platform dock (LPD)-like strategic sealift vessels (SSVs).

These challenges include supply-chain disruptions that have arisen because of the war in Ukraine, and design changes that have been requested by the customer, said the company's CEO, Kaharuddin Djenod, in an interview with Janes at Indo Defence 2022 in Jakarta.

PT PAL disclosed in June 2022 that it had secured a follow-on contract to supply the Philippine Navy with two more SSVs.

The contract follows a USD92 million project that was awarded to the company in June 2014 to construct two vessels of the type for the Philippine Navy's sea-based transport and logistics requirements. These 123 m vessels were commissioned as the Tarlac-class SSVs and came into service in June 2016 and May 2017, respectively.

The new SSVs that will be built by PT PAL in Surabaya, Indonesia, will each have an overall length of 123 m and a height of 21 m. It will displace about 7,200 tonnes. The vessel has been designed to survive up to Sea State 6 and operate up to Sea State 4, the company said.

Indo Defence 2022: Indonesian company discloses details of country's new MCMVs

by Ridzwan Rahmat

A local representative of Abeking & Rasmussen in Indonesia has disclosed further details of the two new mine countermeasure vessels (MCMVs) that are on order for the Indonesian Navy.

The Indonesian government signed a contract with Abeking & Rasmussen to design and construct two MCMVs in January 2019. A steel-cutting ceremony for the programme was held in November 2020, and the first vessel, Pulau Fani , was launched in October 2022.

Speaking to Janes at the Indo Defence 2022 exhibition in Jakarta, held from 2 to 5 November, a representative from Abeking & Rasmussen's local agent, PT Agrapana Nugraha Katara, described the Pulau Fani class as one that derives its main hull form from the German shipyard's MHV60 design.

The vessel has an overall length of 61.4 m, a breadth of 11.1 m, and a design draft of 3.3 m. The main hull has been constructed out of non-magnetic steel, said Mashuri Ishak, the proprietor of PT Agrapana, in response to questions from Janes at the exhibition.

“The most important aspect of the new vessel is that it will be a mother ship for unmanned mine countermeasure systems,” said Mashuri, who also disclosed that the Pulau Fani-class MCMVs will each be equipped with two unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), and these will be carried on-deck in the vessel's aft section.

The USVs both feature Abeking and Rasmussen's SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) design, which promises more stable operations especially in inclement weather conditions.

Indo Defence 2022: Indonesia prepares to cut steel on first ‘Red White' frigate

by Ridzwan Rahmat

Indonesian state-owned shipbuilder PT PAL is preparing to start work on the country's first Iver Huitfeldt-class frigate and will hold a steel-cutting ceremony for the ship in November 2022, the company has confirmed.

Speaking to Janes at the Indo Defence 2022 exhibition in Jakarta, CEO of PT PAL Kaharuddin Djenod said that the project has been branded as the ‘Red White' frigate programme after the colours of the Indonesian flag to reflect the vessels' status as locally built warships.

The Indonesian Ministry of Defense (MoD) signed a preamble contract for a variant of the Iver Huitfeldt frigate with PT PAL in April 2020.

However, the two-ship contract only became effective from 24 May 2021. Following this, UK defence group Babcock announced in September 2021 that it has signed a licence agreement to provide PT PAL with the Arrowhead 140 design for the two ships.

In turn, Babcock's Arrowhead 140 design is based on the Royal Danish Navy's three-ship Iver Huitfeldt class, which were commissioned between January and November 2011.

In an interview with Janes at Indo Defence 2022, Kaharuddin denied that there have been major delays to the programme. “Between the time that the contract became effective and the present day, PT PAL engineers worked with representatives from the MoD and the navy to fine-tune the Arrowhead 140 design according to the user's requirements,” Kaharuddin said.

This Frigate would use Advent CMS, still don't know what it is in the table for the rest of armament

The missiles are not Hisar-O/U but whole new missiles for medium and long range that will be developed specially for Indonesia, by Roketsan.

What does it mean? TriSula, something like Tri-Layer?

Also retia provides the C4 and Radar systems, and likely will be providing seeker and datalinks of the missiles too so it makes sense. Also Hisar and Siper fulfills some abrupt requirements of TAF (reaction time, terminal speed, NEZ etc), thus a new missile may make more sense for export market.

I dont know about the meaning behind it, just citing from the MoD article. Yes, maybe because of mix O and U type to provide layered defense.

Trisula is an Indonesian loan word from Sanskrit, in English it's called Trident

Long range too? Nice.

I wonder for the ballistic missile and SAM deals, is there ToT involved or counter trade?
Because there is such regulation here.
