Indeed.
Jerman cuy, asesmen bakalan expert.

Long range too? Nice.

I wonder for the ballistic missile and SAM deals, is there ToT involved or counter trade?
Because there is such regulation here.
If you ask me for the simplicity getting 10 submarines before 2030, take the whole 4 units of Tupi Class, take 3 Type-214 Class and then conduct the technical audits on 3 Nagapasa Class, do everything necessarily to optimise those 3 units already in our service, after all they're paid by citizens's tax. There you have 10 - 12 submarines by 2030 plus KRI Cakra

I'm just saying out of simplicity however things are always complicated AFAIK we only signed MoU on Scorpene not procurement contract

Scorpene made in Indonesia will take up to 6-7 years with Naval Group assitance. They need to repair Nagasa class as functional sub. So maybe thats why the twitter guy push the idea of 2 brand submarines at once.

If we are using our sense, take Scorpene or Type 214 Class but never both, that's a perfect recipe for disaster in years to come though in my preference i'll go for Type 214 Class over the reason of our past mistakes on Nagapasa Class

Some of the twit translation
On the last day of Indodefence 2022 yesterday, the Tweetmilitary managed to meet a representative of Fincantieri who informed them that they were still waiting for the certainty of funding for the FREMM project from the Government.

ALRI will take the ASW ver. Of FREMM the model displayed.
According to Fincantieri, the procurement of FREMM for the Indonesian Navy will increase Indonesia's maritime security capabilities, especially in terms of anti-submarine forces.

Will this be comeback for Fincantieri after defeated by Damen in Kornas program decades ago?

The missiles are not Hisar-O/U but whole new missiles for medium and long range that will be developed specially for Indonesia, by Roketsan.

I don't think the missile will be different, it will be modified but what?

BTI and SEA Sign Cooperation to Improve Weapons Quality for Indonesian Warships

Peter explained that SEA products are different from other products. SEA is the only one that has ray sonar with a very small size. So this can change the way of operation or concept of operation (Konops) of the navy.

"Previously, only large ships such as frigates or destroyers could carry out anti-submarine warfare. Meanwhile, small ships were limited. Such as PC 60, PC 40, KCR could not. Because they carried sonar, it was too heavy," he said.

So, with the SEA product, PC 40 class ships can detect submarines.

"So I think this is a very extraordinary breakthrough, especially for naval users to be able to detect it early. Because of Indonesia's maritime waters, we hope to use small ships," he said.
