Unmanned big helicopters are on the wayC2Tech HeliARX SATCOM communication system, tested on T-129.
Reminded me of the T-629.Unmanned big helicopters are on the way
Has he said in which terms?TAI General Manager Temel Kotil : ( ATAK-2) This is an 11 ton helicopter. With Allah's permission, it will be better than Apache, which is considered the best in the world. Because we work very well.
In today's conditions, with developing technology and production methods...Has he said in which terms?
In what terms will it be better. I wish he would back this statement with some facts. I mean we all hope it will be better but hope is not factsTAI General Manager Temel Kotil : ( ATAK-2) This is an 11 ton helicopter. One example, Turkish mmw radar has way longer distance capability, which is huge with bad weather operation capabilityIn what terms will it be better. I wish he would back this statement with some facts. I mean we all hope it will be better but hope is not facts
We can just speculating. MWR could perform better. Max speed. MTOW.In what terms will it be better. I wish he would back this statement with some facts. I mean we all hope it will be better but hope is not facts
Probably, a special mini cruise missile/loitering munitions will be developed for the ATAK-II platform. What I'm talking about are LOCAAS-like systems that Lockheed was working on for attack helicopters in the late 90s, early 2000s. Ultra-low cost smart munitions that are shorter than 1 meter and weigh less than 50kg with a loitering time of around 1 hour and a flight range of around 100km.And loiterin munitions/missiles she uses: alpagut, umtas Nlos, kuzgun solid fuel (IIR/MMW guided) and kuzgun TJ. And datalink maybe.
Alpagut?, it is a bit long but i think that wouldn't be a matter since this helicopter being made for Çakır.Probably, a special mini cruise missile/loitering munitions will be developed for the ATAK-II platform. I really hope some of those to be seahawks. We really need those.
Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu: Gendarmerie General Command will receive the first domestic Sikorsky helicopter within a week.
I know that seahawks removed before and planned to be purchased readymade.I really hope some of those to be seahawks. We really need those.
Epic facepalm moment. They'll be begging for those Seahawks for the foreseeable future.I know that seahawks removed before and planned to be purchased readymade.
Yes its true. One more thing we undervalued MMWR radar on T129.Every one says about reduced fire power of the capability of pylons, and reduced coverage on one pylon(two of them solve the majority of problem),but without it you can not fly and fire on bad wheather conditions. T129 can do DEAD mission, because it can fly lower than fighters(USA used Apache with success on Iraq war).Aselsan made atlas system on T129 for passive navigation to make safe navigation, but its hard to make it for foregn land space and needs reguler updates.MMWR radar could do the job unlimited on the pylons with down position, and its diffucult to make the same job on the top of palls. However we made some progress on T129 such as IFF,Radar warning, laser warning sensors, and SATcOm link(only tested).I wish we could add Link-16 system and Direkt infrared counter measure system, which make T129 is the most capable platform on this class. We can also benefit reduced weight with the replacing ofAselflir 300 with another flir system to absorb more weight of added systems mentioned above. One example, Turkish mmw radar has way longer distance capability, which is huge with bad weather operation capability
We need new helicopters for our new ships. If we can not buy from USA, we should go for British solution till we produce our own variant after 10 ton utility helicopter project.
We need 8-10 Seahawk helicopters in 2-3 years considering TCG Anadolu, i class ships and 2 new hisar class patrol ships
