The pardons are political in nature. There are about 12-13 retired generals all above 80 in prison right now. One died of heart attack last year. No one gives a damn about them. It's never been a health issue.

So was this guy. There's no special law for Öcalan, he's a criminal like any other and Öcalan's and this dude's crime and punishment were very similar to each other. We know they sent a lawyer to Öcalan in march. Who's to say they wouldn't give the same "house arrest" to Öcalan had their meeting gone well? Can anybody really say this isn't possible?

Yes there is no special law but his sentence is:


Article 309
(1) Any person who attempts to abolish, replace or prevent the implementation of, through
force and violence, the constitutional order of the republic of Turkey shall be sentenced
to a penalty of aggravated life imprisonment.
(2) Where any other offences are committed during the commission of this offence, an
additional penalty for such offences shall be imposed according to the relevant
provisions.
(3) Legal entities shall be subject to security measures specific to them for the commission
of offences defined in this article

without any pardon. Those sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for offences under Article 309 and following of the Turkish Penal Code cannot benefit from conditional release and remain in prison for the rest of their lives'. As long as this provision remains, there can be no change in Öcalan's sentence conditions. changing this provision falls under the authorisation of the Constitutional Court in its decisions on the execution law. chich need by Concil voting

Another thing needed to be solved is this, HUDAPAR did never accepted or defended Hizbullah. The link between HUDA and hizbies like HDP and pkk is not the same.
