Isnt the economist owned by the usual establishment families of britain like the rothschilds and others blue blood families?

Its fascinating how easy it is for the billionaire minority to entirely control what the poor global majority thinks and feel.

No media ever exposes these powerful familes and their influence on world affairs.
The economist was going out of its way to promote alevi saviour and future God emperor of turkiye kilic before and during the election. They wouldn't stfu about him.

The hood event was not caused by or marked the start of the American's relationship with the PKK. I don't understand why retroactively change history ?
Who claimed that?
And why didnt give answers to my questions?

The Ukrainian grain export deal will continue even if Russia withdraws from the agreement. NATO (Turkiye) will protect cargo ships.

This is going to be another foreign policy crisis.

He asks Biden to ensure f16's and Sweden's accession not to be linked, but links Sweden's Nato accession to EU entry.

In accession, in many respects the country does not even meet criteria in chapters previously progress was made in.

I think based on the status of the economy, he wants money without IMF involvement. He wants the EU to bail him out. The EU is likely not going to do this. Venezuela.

Otherwise it's just a way of saying no to Biden on Sweden as he couldn't say no in the phone call, at the cost of EU relationships. It cements the idea that diplomacy with Erdogan is like a bazaar. Nothing stops EU opening a chapter, ensuring Erdogan accepts Sweden then freezing the process again for the many, many reasons they could use.

This could work.
It won't. We won't become an EU member, probably, ever. Certainly not in the next two decades anyway.

This could seriously backfire. Earlier, we had legitimate reasons to keep Sweden out of NATO. But the EU thing has nothing to do with NATO accession and it displays the misuse of veto power.

I hope it's a calculated move and not some political blunder that will push us deeper into the swamp.

just really dumb politics yet again. Its fascinating how dopey AK party politics is.

The quran burning incident basically deligitimised Turkiyes argument and strenghed the PKK's hand. Now like a belly dancer and street beggar he's talking about EU membership.

Absolute joke.

I believe it's a good move by the Turkish leadership. The Americans wanted to connect the issue of delivery with F16, with the Turkish green light for Sweden to join Nato. Now Turkey is using the same move as the Americans..

The most bonkers part of this is, it could happen.

The US is quite obviously desperate and the EU is the most submissive its been for a while. This could work.
Highly unlikely, the Europeans have not been open to such a move for decades. If the Americans supported such a step then it would be more likely for Turkey to join EU. It's very difficult, and that's why Turkey is using such a counter card against the Americans.

If this was the plan from the start, should have tied EU entry to Finland entry to NATO. Sweden is nowhere near as important.

Does it really matter though? Even before any quran burnings I havent seen a single western media outlet outline how Turkeys opposition to Swedish NATO membership was due to PKK activities. Some articles didnt even mention that the PKK was a terror group.

Both European and Turkish lawmakers know that Turkey will never join the EU. They dont care how legitimate Turkeys arguments are, because they are the ones that have been promoting anti-Turkish rhetoric for decades. You cant reason with a Person that doesnt want to listen or wants to interpret everything you say in a different way.

This situation can also be an attempt from Erdogan to relieve some of the pressure coming from the US, by throwing the ball into another court. Either way, it backs Erdogan into a corner because if the EU doesnt make any concessions he wont be able to let Sweden into NATO without loosing his strongman image at home. On the other hand he could once again throw Turkish security interests out of the window to secure some sweet talk from the EU regarding turkish EU membership to grab some more CHP votes before the next elections.

Regarding EU, the case is not SWE. The case IS GRE-CYP(South). SWE doesn't have any power to expedite or anything.
Eventually, we will have to approve the membership of SWE. The important is that how much benefits we can obtain form this crisis so far.
