Çakır is probably exported to Azerbaijan.
It is truly perfect for the Caspian Sea to eliminate Russias and Irans ancient fleet. They also need a lot of USV to combat Irans fleet of small attack motorboatsÇakır is probably exported to Azerbaijan.
I guess no SAGE no Gezgin. It is logicalHas anyone seen Gezgin?
Cakir being sold abroad before being ordered by TAF, thats how you build a brand, trust and a self-sustaining industry. Kudos to Roketsan.
If TSK didn’t but it ( any weapon in general ) then it’s not good
I trust the judgment of TSK than most countries who buy Turkish weapons .
They'd buy a small amount and test it if that was the case. But you never really know it might be due to some stupid bureucratic problem.Maybe insufficient funding ?
We won't see it until it's been in service for a few years, like with Yildirim and Khan.Has anyone seen Gezgin?
These are Umtas gm sal and umtas gm IIR. There will be another version (block 2) with hybrid seeker too. First blocks will be 16 km from land, 20 + km from helicopters
Block 2 will be 32 km from land and 50 km from helo
GM might stand for Genel Maksat.
Navy should use those mini beasts
need to be boxed and launched vertically for navy. IIR guided ,32km( vertically 20km) ranged supersonic ATGM could waste the new USV threats.
Yildirim, yes, but not Khan. We have seen before. We won't see it until it's been in service for a few years, like with Yildirim and Khan.
It’s good for Roketsan to make arms sells internationally and good for Turkiye to make big sells for the overall growth of military industrial sectors. The larger the arms sales, the more the State of Art defence company can adapt to its development needs and sustain technology R&D continuously for advancements of cutting-edge tech.Cakir being sold abroad before being ordered by TAF, thats how you build a brand, trust and a self-sustaining industry. Kudos to Roketsan.
Subsonic is more likely if you think on range. Is there any official Info on the speed?
Looking at how big their wings are, I am not sure if they will fly supersonic.
