40 Eurofighter Trench 4 are gonna cost around $8 billions in full package. (Including ammunition, logistics, spare parts and training)

I guess, money isn't the problem for Türkiye right now.

When it comes to national matters, money is a secondary factor of consideration.
This is a litmus test for the strained diplomatic relations between Turkey and Germany, to see where Germany’s loyalties lie in NATO with respect to Turkey. It will be used accordingly in the days to come. So this is not a mere matter of military strategy of a potential purchase but more!
MTU tank engine embargo has already strained military cooperation between the two countries. A rejection or blockade of Typhoons will become the last nail in the coffin for Turkey Germany military cooperation.

EDIT
One last but important point is that Turkey is planning to purchase 355 Airbus planes. Now that should have a lot of pull in the matter!

I think UK would be pleased to sell its 30 x Tranche 1 Typhoons. They are scheduled for withdrawal from service in 2025. Spain and Italy might be interested is disposing of early Typhoons, too. I don't know what control Eurofighter partner governments have over other partners selling their used Typhoons. I think that the UK ones have a lot of hours left on the airframes. UK paid around $60 million for its Tranche 1 Typhoons, so they could be very cheap. Spares are reported to be very expensive, but using them for 5-10 years as a stop gap to KAAN might be economically practical for Turkiye.

If Germany keeps the blockade alive, this will be a reason for other countries not to start a project with Germany anymore. How much money they ate losing.

OK, so

NO Rafale
NO Typhoon
NO Su-30, Su-35 (NATO members do not buy Russian fighters)
and if NO F-16
NO Gripen E (uses a GE engine)
NO HAL Tejas, KAI KF-21 (both use a GE engine)

What's left? JF-17?

Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler: We plan to purchase 40 Eurofighter Typhoon warplanes from England and Spain.

Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler:

"We want to buy 40 Eurofighters, it is a very effective aircraft, Germany objects. England and Spain say they will solve it."

"I am not in favor of buying the F-35. There is a different debate in America about whether we should switch to another plane."

"We cannot take the S-400 and deliver it to the corner of a factory. We push the button when we need it."

"I hope KAAN will make its flight at the end of this year."

As an outsider uninformed about the political machinations in the region, that sounds like an appealing course of inaction should F-16 be blocked. Especially if the F-4's have a few years' life left in them and are not extremely expensive to maintain.

rumors about REIS might be true after all. if they kill the REIS project we are fucked bad.
we can survive without EF2000, but REIS will be hard.

The region was never a problem we cant handle.
This so called procurement is just to show that ''our allies'' are not really our allies.
The F-4's are retired already and we dont really need them anymore.
Germany is already put in its place by the US(Nordstream gas pipeline and replaced by Poland)),Russia and now its our turn.
Refusal by Germany will be seen as a hostile act which will cost Germany more then it does us.
The F-16 refusal is also only used for the same reason.
Türkiye just wants to corner them politicly for later use.

If i was Turkiye i will do this :
1- Buy 100 of J-10 if possible install Turkish sytems and give them to Jandarma air force (not army air force)

But its too late , this should be done 2010-2015. Now even if we order fighters they will come after 4-5 years when KAAN will become active so just work hard on national fighters .

Aslo Turkiye is buying western airbus planes this is aslo wrong , Turkiye should work with china , Russia, Brasil and buy at least regional planes from them and buy only some 20 intercontinental planes from west
Western world is in decline and better to split our roads now then whem becames too late .
