The last few post are causing mixed emotions in me. Seriously.

Should I be happy that we‘re gonna get TF6000 soon? Or just sad that only rotary application for that engine would have been a segment of aircraft rather “luxurious“ for our needs?

Should I be satisfied to know that 3000 HP turbo shaft just within our reach but only with pouring cash and slowing down TF35 program? And even though 3000 is close, should we maybe go with Ukrainian option with the lower power but export rights (not sure about the last bit myself)?

Not desperate but all tough choices and I’m confused 🫤

I'd say there's a merit to slapping bigger than necessary engines to a platform. It would perform more efficiently.

That (TF-6000) is an overkill for Atak2.
OK. I get it. But, we can not an engine with 3000 SHP power with an axial compressor be designed that uses only the first stage hot sector turbine of the TF-6000?

You would spend as much time and effort and money, if not more , than if you were trying to upscale the locally produced T700 TEI engine. That TF6K is a big diameter engine. You need to scale it down. Get rid of the bypass system. In essence you would be producing a totally new engine. You might as well tweak the T700 so that it is a TEI design and increase power level.

Can someone tell me how the 1342 newton thrust is useful. I.e. My understanding is mostly related to what it can be used for.

One example:
1342 newtons = 134 kg

Think that way you take you car engine (small car engine ~ 120kg weight) out.
Then stick on it fins one to the left and to the right then put at end TEI-TJ300.
Now you will have a "brick with wings " which can Fly (until fuel for TEI-TJ300 finish )
Then you can start TEI-TJ300 engine and it will push you car engine to the sky.
Now imaging that you car engine is flying and approaching a target which is far far away.
Then engine crash/hit the target making a big crater (you can add explosion -> many TNT equivalent ) and many parts of engine is flying around making KA BOOM.

Simple put it is something like that.
Do you like it? :D

And I’m only curious why that account posted a news from April 2021 like a recent breakthrough?

In April 2021, TEI-TJ300 engine broke a world record in its class by reaching a thrust level of 1,342 Newtons with a small engine diameter of 224 mm.”

What is the state of progress on the TF-35000? Last I heard they started to cut the parts of the 1st prototype

Let's see if Mr Mahmut Akşit shows up at the innovation days tomorrow, or is this picture from the media day already.

Are you sure you're not confusing it with TF-6000? Even its parts were still being made in September iirc, I really doubt anything about TF-35000 has been done, other than its design and preliminary studies. I mean, we are almost definitely going to have to tweak it out according to what we learn from TF-6000 and TF-1000.
