They are great for COIN and low-intensity conflict, but in a full-scale war against India they are not that effective.
Yes but even in a war with a capable power if you can take out the air defenses first you can clear the way for UAVs. They will be a good supplement to the manned systems.

I don't see Pakistan doing that easily against India, but what ever

This PG-50 can be a good sell to paramotorists and other civilian sport flyers but our TEI is not interested in making small money. I have a project that I can use one of them for and if the project sells it can be a hot cake seller for sport flyers.

They have to eventually open up to civilian purposes. Rotax sells and produces more engines for ATVs, snowmobiles or even jetskis than defence. That's where the real money is. Open up a civilian branch for sales and reap in the cash.

Rotax even make engines for go-carts. I come across to people who started their own small engines companies after working for companies like TEI before. I even came across to a person who is building a coaxial one seat helicopter. And the dude started making the thing from the engine. He has to make the engine too. :ROFLMAO:. I said "dude this will slow you down", he said "no it is the easier part". :ROFLMAO:

Have they said they won't wait or what?
They should go the unmanned route and employ UAVs to release their urgency for helis which is what they are doing apparently looking at recent moves from them.
We got 1 year extension on the Atak helicopter deal we signed, if TS1400 could be certificed, or at least tested to hell and back within 1 year then we may be able to deliver the helicopters to Pakistan.

Gen Md Mahmut Aksit: We started a hybrid engine development work with our own resources. Our goal is to save fuel and stay in the air for a longer period of time by providing the large power requirement during take off with an electric motor, and after taking off with a fossil fuel engine.
For once they got creative and innovative. Bets are open to guess which engine it is based on. I bet on PD170-PD180.

Ashot Ashkelon (Elbit Systems) hybrid system with Rotax 912 or 914, electric motor/generator

Lets say the engine is PD170 and the plane requires full power of 170hp = 127 kW for take off. If you can climb to the altitude in say 5 minutes you need a battery with a capacity of 127*5/60 = 10.6 kW/h. Benchmarking with a Tesla battery of pack level density of 200 Wh/kg you need 10.6/0.2 = 53kg
53kg+motor+cabling weight will be added to the aeroplane weight. If you want to use electric to make the plane silent at times you either add extra battery or generate electric using a generator in flight.

No sources, just my feeling. There is another attack helicopter waiting to be ordered (Z-10), which is additional pressure on the Atak deal.
USA can decide. Making business and "help" a NATO members defence industry. Or helping China industry.

There are several ways of making that power mix. Parallel hybrid, serial hybrid and more. If you can run both the engine and the motor at the same time you can add the powers of both engines to make 2x170hp for max power. I am working on such a system for a private project. Anyone who want to bet $30k on a project is welcome to join me for the challenge.

Apply to Tubitak, they give up to TL 1 million lira or even more if the product is promising. The budget varies, supports you to establish a start-up, appoints a mentor, guides on license rights-patents.

Those suckers discriminate people on age and education. I don't have an engineering degree and I can not be considered young. But I have the ingenuity and a passion for making history in aviation which don't get evaluated by those who thinks they know better. But there are people in the world that appraise people by what you can make rather then who you are. And there is a challenge that gives $1mn as prize money not asking who you are but checking out what you are making and if your invention can fly. I am only $30k short before I can start building the history maker.

You don't need an education background actually, they are open for anything as long as you have sufficient background for your idea. There are several other projects like Bigg, or patent support.
Good luck then.

I have already got patent support from Tubitak once. Bigg is for new graduates others have their conditions and everyone of them requires that you have your own money to start with. Angel investors are my best bet. Until of course you already have money and can employ engineers. But I have a time constrained thing this time when I have to be quick. Cheers.
