FNSS offers an auxiliary power unit option for the vehicle. The interior volume of the vehicle's personnel quarter is quite large for 8+3 personnel, and also has extra volume preserved for mission payloads that (my guess) load capacity of over 1 tons. Relying on these, it is a question in my mind whether an Alpha can be converted into a Pantsir-like low-medium altitude air defense vehicle as an 8x8 with high off-road capabilities.

Gürz looks like it uses a modified Korkut turret, and, Alpha's configuration options shows a 35mm air defence option that looks like it uses the same Korkut turret. I guess it depends on power requirements and AESA placements and weight limits.

I don't remember that quote, by FNSS said during their recent talk with Defence Turk that Alpha was part of the testing phase for YNHZA program from beginning to the end.

I think we can say that FNSS bid is not Pars III or IV but Alpha. Beginning from 5:00

Too early to say anything, as testing phase for tracked vehicles haven't even started yet per what's been reported for the last 2 weeks.

I don't recall of being 'surprised' in a positive way in the last decade. I believe some incidents or informality occured during the negotiations and led to resignation of the BMC CEO.

Very possible as FNSS's Nail Kurt answered to the question of "Can the project be shared between companies":

"It is possible, but we should be open to collaboration. I am talking both about the companies and the State. The project can also continue with the company that gives the most appropriate offer, but this is the most important project for TSK in the next 15-20 years. It is debatable if TSK should go with the cheapest offer. Boys putting their lives for the country will use these vehicles on the field and I think that a different approach may be needed. The best model is the model that will give the user a chance for procurement of the solution he deserves".

Going by this statement I can already imagine a possible debate that led to the resignation of the BMC CEO.

TSK just needs to order 2000 vehicles and put up tender demand that means domestic production (and not assembley) of 90% domestic.

So what will that mean for the tender? Will FNSS forced to integrate national engine and transmission? How long will it take? How will that effect Pars Alpha?

This is a very interesting tender. Did Otokar used Arma 2 like FNSS used Pars Alpha? If they didn't why did they developed Arma 2? They don't seem to be using Arma 2 at foreign tenders as well.(They seem to bring Arma 1 to Saudi Arabia as well)

I have lots of questions about our wheeled tactical armored vehicle development process.(Like why there is Pars IV if Pars Alpha already entered the tests for a long time? They seemed to be developed around the same time. Maybe lots of it my exaggeration and doesn't matter, I don't know.)

The Otokar ARMA II uses a 720 HP domestic Ecotorq engine, but the transmission they use is not domestic. If this engine is robust, IMO it can also be used in this vehicle upon the insistence of SSB. But a domestic transmission will also be required. Is there a suitable and robust domestic transmission that will undertake this function?

Otosan completed tests of Ecotorq Transmission System last year. I'm not sure if it was fitted to Arma II but they could use it in future.

Sadly can’t find any news relating to this from TRT.

there is also rumours floating around that all three companies will produce the chosen vehicle. Don’t know how credible that is though you already mentioned something in that direction being the reason the CEO of BMC resigned.

Well gotta wait, if the tests are done and the tender finished we should soon see the first news drop about the results.

Interestingly enough Alpha seems to have been partaking in the tests from the beginning. Incredible they were able to keep that a secret.
