Found different sources from Scania turbocharged diesel to Cummins for lighter weight Tulpar-S version

They announced last year that new 40 ton Arma II would be also offered with Ford Otosan's(part of same Koç conglomerate as Otokar) 720hp Ecotorq engine. Maybe Tulpar can also get it in the future if it's enlarged.

I'm fairly certain Serdar Görgüç (or Ufuk Aybar I cannot remember exactly) said that Ecotorq is not a military grade engine and will not be used on Tulpar. I cannot find the exact source right know, I'm scanning my sources I'll link it here once I find it.
Of course it is hard to say anything for future from our point, if circumstances requires, Otokar may adapt/modify Ecotorq for their use.

Tulpar has three different engine configuration (as Mr. Ufuk Aybar states), those are 720, 810 and 1100 horsepower engines (again as Mr. Ufuk Aybar states). As far as I know, Tulpar has been tested with two power packs, 810 and 720 horsepower engines. 810 horsepower engine is probably Scania DSI 16, it is stated in several websites though I could not find proper source for that, and 720 horsepower engine Caterpillar (likely C13 or CT13) coupled with Allison transmission system (likely 4500SP or 4800SP) as stated by Mr. Ufuk Aybar during his interview in SAHA Expo 2022.

Although there is no concrete information about when and/or which engine were tested, we can speculate from the bits of interviews. In İDEF 2021, Mr. Serdar Görgüç said that they are presenting a Tulpar with new power pack, in his interview. Again in İDEF 2021, Mr. Metin Sağlam said the Tulpar they're presenting is fitted with a 720 horsepower engine in his interview. If we draw a timeline we could say that pre-2021 Tulpar was tested with 810 horsepower engine and after 2021 switched to 720 horsepower one.

FNSS offers an auxiliary power unit option for the vehicle. The interior volume of the vehicle's personnel quarter is quite large for 8+3 personnel, and also has extra volume preserved for mission payloads that (my guess) load capacity of over 1 tons. Relying on these, it is a question in my mind whether an Alpha can be converted into a Pantsir-like low-medium altitude air defense vehicle as an 8x8 with high off-road capabilities.

Gürz looks like it uses a modified Korkut turret, and, Alpha's configuration options shows a 35mm air defence option that looks like it uses the same Korkut turret. I guess it depends on power requirements and AESA placements and weight limits.

Well don't remember who but someone mentioned people will be suprised. Suprised in what way we shall see. I think we all expect the same company as always to get the contract maybe we will be surpised in that regard.

I don't remember that quote, by FNSS said during their recent talk with Defence Turk that Alpha was part of the testing phase for YNHZA program from beginning to the end.

I think we can say that FNSS bid is not Pars III or IV but Alpha. Beginning from 5:00

It is thought that Kaplan NG will take the tracked version. I am wondering if they will enter the tender with the current Kaplan NG design or something different.

Too early to say anything, as testing phase for tracked vehicles haven't even started yet per what's been reported for the last 2 weeks.

I don't recall of being 'surprised' in a positive way in the last decade. I believe some incidents or informality occured during the negotiations and led to resignation of the BMC CEO.

Very possible as FNSS's Nail Kurt answered to the question of "Can the project be shared between companies":

"It is possible, but we should be open to collaboration. I am talking both about the companies and the State. The project can also continue with the company that gives the most appropriate offer, but this is the most important project for TSK in the next 15-20 years. It is debatable if TSK should go with the cheapest offer. Boys putting their lives for the country will use these vehicles on the field and I think that a different approach may be needed. The best model is the model that will give the user a chance for procurement of the solution he deserves".

Going by this statement I can already imagine a possible debate that led to the resignation of the BMC CEO.

TSK just needs to order 2000 vehicles and put up tender demand that means domestic production (and not assembley) of 90% domestic.

And judging by this night's ruckus, looks like Alpha came out on top on the tests. But the claim that a contract was signed can't be true. It will be very public, it's the first AFV program in years.
