90%+ expat population, establishment/emir is both pro-Iran and pro-US (hosts US bases even) and thus anti-Iran and anti-US/West in various ways....all kind of wax and wane with fellow gulfies and region beyond.
US definitely has its in-s just like rest do through al-jazeera as result.
I have seen Al-Jazeera talk out both sides of its mouth w.r.t PRC and Uighurs...it all just depends who pushed the button and agenda for that moment.

But how much % cut do the central asian states (like say kazakhs) get from the road trade China has with BRI there (to Russian and Europe markets). The road trade is already some smaller % of shipbourne (due to costs) to begin with too. So do we have an actual breakdown of what the earning is for say Kazakhstan from the tradeflow volume transiting? The margins on offer cant be too high.
Then there is impact of Russia/UKR war and China's perceived role there by Europe....that makes things more amenable for Rotterdam and the Rhine port infra (regd Chinese goods Europeans want to still have low enough tariff on going forward) rather than roads via Xinjiang-KAZ-RUS etc.

Some countries even threatened us, and Turkey’s unequivocal support in such a difficult situation gave us additional strength and confidence. We are grateful for this support. The entire Azerbaijani people know and appreciate this.
I am very glad that this is already a common approach, a common opinion - the strengthening and unification of the Turkic world will turn the Turkic world, the Organization of Turkic States into a major center of power on a global scale, because, as you noted, the existing centers of power are in crisis. Everyone has their own crisis framework. Our potential, on the contrary, blossoms every day. This is a big geography. If we look at the map, we will see that the Turkic world is huge,” Aliyev said.

What do you mean with, useless S-400 system!
If I want force Turkey to buy something, I would choose Helis, tanks, maybe jets . But not critical systems to a country WHO SHOOT DOWN MY FIGHTER JET AND KILL MY PILOT. Sounds illogical.

An interesting article about Turkish-Russian relations was published on the Armenian website. It's not in the English version, so I decided to translate it.
Russia takes into account the political and economic realities of the South Caucasus; Russia does not have the strength to get Turkey out of here. Dmitry Trenin, scientific director of the Institute of Military Economics and Strategy at the Higher School of Economics, stated this during a discussion on June 12.
“Russia is not an empire, we have come out of the imperial era, there is no struggle between Russia and Turkey for Transcaucasia.
Russia's relations with Turkey are very complex; they combine elements of cooperation and interaction with elements of competition, fortunately not yet hostility.
Russia strives to avoid hostility in every possible way, as does Türkiye. Today no one has any illusions about Turkey. But this country today is a very important counterparty to Russia.
Russia tried and partially succeeded in the difficult situation of 2020 related to the Karabakh conflict, to achieve not a quadrilateral, but a trilateral statement and agree to a formal military presence of Turkey within the framework of the Russian-Turkish mission.
Then it was possible, of course, to stigmatize Turkey, but what would Russian foreign policy gain from this? Another front?
Today Russia has fewer resources than the Russian Empire once had in its relations with the Ottoman Empire, and fewer resources than the USSR.
