The LG-155 Laser Guided Artillery Ammunition is being prepared for missions with a range of up to 25 kilometers and a 22-kilogram warhead.
This is interesting. Range of this munition is actually shorter than the long range 155mm round MKE makes (39 km max range), however, its warhead is twice as heavy according to what Murat ikinci said here:
Roketsan, SAHA EXPO’da ilk kez sergileyeceği üç yeni ürününü tanıttı
ROKETSAN PUSU, LG-155 Lazer Güdümlü Topçu Mühimmatı ve Lazer Güdümlü Orta Menzilli Tanksavar Füze Sistemi L-OMTAS ilk kez SAHA EXPO’dawww.savunmatr.com
So, precision and bigger boom at the expense of range, it looks like.
It has quite a few similarities with Chinese Norinco's GP155A laser guided 155mm projectile. Same fin setting, 25km max. range with 155/L52 barrel.

Very simple, MKE lists how much explosives weigh in their shells on their website which the long range 155mm round listed as 10,5 kg.Bro, how did you figure its warhead twice as heavy? A standard round (40+kg) is a warhead in its entirety. A base bleed or RA round, most of it is warhead.
Yes, design choices are often influenced by first movers or tech leaders. Our Poongsan 155mm Excalibur equivalent looks exactly like a clone of it, even in the choice of colorsRussian army increases stocks of Krasnopol guided artillery shells

Father of them all, i think R&D back in the days led to alternative ways, and Roketsan chose Russian's "style" for some reason.
-I think the main reason is '' Laser-guided artillery rounds are developed from scratch and feature an airframe meant to perform sharper manoeuvres compared to GPS-INS correction kits''Sorry, but why is the range shorter than a standard 155mm ?
