The LG-155 Laser Guided Artillery Ammunition is being prepared for missions with a range of up to 25 kilometers and a 22-kilogram warhead.
This is interesting. Range of this munition is actually shorter than the long range 155mm round MKE makes (39 km max range), however, its warhead is twice as heavy according to what Murat ikinci said here:
Roketsan, SAHA EXPO’da ilk kez sergileyeceği üç yeni ürününü tanıttı
ROKETSAN PUSU, LG-155 Lazer Güdümlü Topçu Mühimmatı ve Lazer Güdümlü Orta Menzilli Tanksavar Füze Sistemi L-OMTAS ilk kez SAHA EXPO’dawww.savunmatr.com
So, precision and bigger boom at the expense of range, it looks like.
It has quite a few similarities with Chinese Norinco's GP155A laser guided 155mm projectile. Same fin setting, 25km max. range with 155/L52 barrel.

Very simple, MKE lists how much explosives weigh in their shells on their website which the long range 155mm round listed as 10,5 kg.Bro, how did you figure its warhead twice as heavy? A standard round (40+kg) is a warhead in its entirety. A base bleed or RA round, most of it is warhead.
Yes, design choices are often influenced by first movers or tech leaders. Our Poongsan 155mm Excalibur equivalent looks exactly like a clone of it, even in the choice of colorsRussian army increases stocks of Krasnopol guided artillery shells

Father of them all, i think R&D back in the days led to alternative ways, and Roketsan chose Russian's "style" for some reason.
-I think the main reason is '' Laser-guided artillery rounds are developed from scratch and feature an airframe meant to perform sharper manoeuvres compared to GPS-INS correction kits''Sorry, but why is the range shorter than a standard 155mm ?

ASSAN shows a dedication to serial production but is also developing new munition options
Other important things from my interview with Gürcan Okumuş
1-155 mm ammunition with 56 km and 76 km ranges are on the way
2-Thermobaric GPBs and insensitive warheads are under development
ASSAN continues to do great things. They have started to play a role in a very important production area for Azerbaijan, and perhaps in the near future for the African and Central Asian Turkic states to become more independent from Russian military logistics.
ASSAN is now capable of producing seven different versions of FAB and OFAB munitions. There is a growing foreign demand in this regard. As is known, Aselsan recently adapted the LGK guidance kit to FAB bombs for the Azerbaijan Air Force.
155 howitzer ammunition with a range of 76 kilometers from ASSAN!
— ASSAN is working on 155mm Howitzer Ammunition with 56 and 76 kilometer ranges
— It is planned to produce 360,000 units/year of 155mm ammunition starting from 2025
— Production of air-ground munitions used by Russian aircraft has begun:
According to their CEO, they're exporting most of their MK bombs, and have a lot of demand for their artillery shells but they're planning to enter SSB's tenders as well. But, SSB just signed about a billion dollars worth artillery munition deal with MKE, so might be a while. How is ASSAN's relationship with the relevant institutions? Does ASSAN gets purchases from TSK? There are really good products made by ASSAN that I want to see in the inventory of TSK. Do you think there might be problems in this sense due to Gurcan Okumus being in the lead of that company after his dismissal?
