It is not. Most of the R&D is already done with Altay. In fact, things will get cheaper for other projects. When you go from 68-70 tons to 50 tons tanks get a lot cheaper. For example, there is a huge price and availability difference between a tightly packaged 1500hp powerpack (engine, transmission, and cooling solution) and a 1000hp diesel generator. This is true like every single mechanical part.I agree.
With those specs, I would say impossible.
Any picture of the latest Altay?ALTAY TANK THIS SUMMER IN THE INVENTORY...
- The Altay Tank Project is one of the most anticipated projects in Turkey. Given this, I asked when we would see it in the inventory:
"As you know, we had delivered two units. By the upcoming summer months, the products will be ready. They will enter the inventory. Mass production is planned and scheduled to continue as planned, starting in the summer of 2025. The entire BMC company, the main contractor, and subcontractor companies are working together very harmoniously. There are some components that we procure at the intermediate stage. The installation and assembly work for those are going very well. It will be a year in 2025 when we will share good news."

A Qatari minister i believe did mention unofficially and the 100 number was mentioned by another source, but no deal is made yet.Is it true that Qatar already ordered 100 Altay tanks? I must have missed this news or forgotten, but wiki shows that to be the case. However when i look at the source the link is no longer working.
