Regarding to some rumor, the specification is no longer than 70 m, that surely put on this ship on your conclusion if it really go through sea state 5.I'm more worry about its seaworthiness. Multihull (either catamaran or Trimaran) have inherited structural complication during high sea state During calm sea multihull is great, they are fast, and very stable but in rough weather that multihull construction is serious safety liability.
But i think difference value will be achive if the ship are large enough such as Independece Class, with 127 m long.
And i myself belive this kind of vessel only purpouse build for hit and run tactics with a short range cruise mode, kinda KCR 40 does
Kinda like your statement,You can always wrap the handle with 550 paracord to give it more tactile grip though. It ain't pretty but workable.
"If it is works, it ain't stupid"
