Spain is eyeing a new 6x6 program as a "stopgap" measure for the problematic 8x8 VCR Dragon while also possibly lowering the total 1000 number for Dragons. Turkish firms will possibly take part in the tender process. Indra and Otokar had signed a cooperation deal last week, and Indra also created a new JV with Edge in UAE.

Very interesting, FNSS also signed a MoU with Cockerill and 2 Spanish companies, TSD and Oesia to present a design for the same program.

Pretty sure no one has. The italians have switched from 105 to 120 for Centauro II.
well, I know Cockerill is top of the line, but I was certain that MKE or one of our own companies would have been working on a barrel that with time could become good enough for export success.

Sadly a lot of our companies are lazy and risk averse. Unless the TSK requests a 105mm turret and pays them handsomely for it they won’t do it. And we have seen what happens to projects that MKE goes at it on its own.

I also don’t really now if there is a big enough export market for 105mm turrets right now. I know Cockerill is not allowed to sell to us for our own use but I have not seen the same limitations for other countries.

Gonna guess this a more of a "we will work together to bid for tenders" and not "we have the gotten the nod form the spanish army to supply them" ?
That would at least mean they would make a Spanish version of FNSS vehicles as an offer built under licence in Spain or am I wrong?

A contract was signed in 2024 for the export of the KORKUT 100/35 SB Single-Barrel Truck-Mounted Multi-Purpose Weapon System to a country in the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of international cooperation, the integration of the KORKUT 141/35 system onto the 8x8 vehicle of Calidus, a company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been completed, and live-fire tests have been conducted.

The ASELFLIR 500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Targeting System, launched as one of the world’s best systems in its class, has been contracted by 16 countries, with numerous orders placed. The transition to mass production has been completed, and serial deliveries began in 2024. Integration and business development efforts for both domestic and international platforms are ongoing, as the system is seen to have high export potential.

I heard contract to update Indonesian's F16 fleet to latest block 70 will be inked? How many F16 still remain to be seen.

✍🏻 We are further strengthening our expertise in naval projects through strategic regional collaborations.

We have taken a significant step with Malaysia’s Lumut Naval Shipyard SDN BHD (LUNAS) — signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on naval projects.

We would like to thank Malaysian Prime Minister H.E. Anwar Ibrahim and Secretary of Turkish Defense Industries Mr. Haluk Görgün, for their esteemed presence and support. ⚓

There is strong indication that Indonesia will buy AEW&C aircraft from Havelsan. Does Turkiye have locally made AEW&C radar like MESA?
If not where Havelsan would get that?

HAVELSAN is a software company for the most part and currently there is no AWACS in production at least we know only a program from Baykar but that will most likely use Leonardo stuff.
If they want an awacs they would need a plane first and then a cooperative with aselsan and HAVELSAN

Some rumors said it will be 737 based.
They are looking for some second hand 737 NG airframes

That's interesting to say the least. I'm sure there's a Czech company out there to supply the radar. This would be a very interesting program, we haven't heard anything about it. Surely not a joint project, as we have no radars for an airborne platform for now and and there's no way they choose to start such a big project with foreign radars for TurAF. So Havelsan is expected to be a contractor or a subcontractor for an Indonesian AWACS program.

Let's see.
