Very interesting, FNSS also signed a MoU with Cockerill and 2 Spanish companies, TSD and Oesia to present a design for the same program.

Gonna guess this a more of a "we will work together to bid for tenders" and not "we have the gotten the nod form the spanish army to supply them" ?

well, I know Cockerill is top of the line, but I was certain that MKE or one of our own companies would have been working on a barrel that with time could become good enough for export success.

Sadly a lot of our companies are lazy and risk averse. Unless the TSK requests a 105mm turret and pays them handsomely for it they won’t do it. And we have seen what happens to projects that MKE goes at it on its own.

I also don’t really now if there is a big enough export market for 105mm turrets right now. I know Cockerill is not allowed to sell to us for our own use but I have not seen the same limitations for other countries.

There is strong indication that Indonesia will buy AEW&C aircraft from Havelsan. Does Turkiye have locally made AEW&C radar like MESA?
If not where Havelsan would get that?

HAVELSAN is a software company for the most part and currently there is no AWACS in production at least we know only a program from Baykar but that will most likely use Leonardo stuff.
If they want an awacs they would need a plane first and then a cooperative with aselsan and HAVELSAN

That's interesting to say the least. I'm sure there's a Czech company out there to supply the radar. This would be a very interesting program, we haven't heard anything about it. Surely not a joint project, as we have no radars for an airborne platform for now and and there's no way they choose to start such a big project with foreign radars for TurAF. So Havelsan is expected to be a contractor or a subcontractor for an Indonesian AWACS program.

Let's see.

Isn't that basically what happened with Trisula? I didn't want to say it outright but what do you expect. Aselsan being lacking in that claim, Havelsan lacks the capability to design and build its own radars by itself. Someone has to supply it. Maybe wait 5-10 years

President Director of PTDI, Gita Amperiawan accompanied by the Board of Directors and Management received a visit from Havelsan , a Turkish defense technology company, at PTDI's facility in Bandung. This visit is part of a follow-up to the previously agreed cooperation between the two companies, which focuses on the development of a Full Flight Simulator, as well as the readiness of both parties in fulfilling Indonesia's needs for Airborne Warning & Control System (AWACS) aircraft.
On this occasion, Havelsan CEO, Mehmet Akif Nacar and his delegation were introduced to several of PTDI's leading simulator products, including the N219 Cockpit Demonstrator and the N219 Engineering Full Flight Simulator. These two products represent PTDI's capabilities in developing advanced flight simulation technology, which is also an important basis for ongoing cooperation with Havelsan.
In an interview with Havelsan CEO Mehmet Akif Nacar, he expressed strong confidence in PTDI’s capabilities in developing flight simulations, especially for the Full Flight Simulator program. According to him, PTDI has a strong foundation thanks to its experience in developing the CN235-220 aircraft and training simulations, as well as engineering. “This provides a solid basis for the joint development of a full mission simulator using the data package provided by PTDI,” said Mehmet Akif Nacar.

Mehmet Akif Nacar also revealed plans to expand cooperation with PTDI by developing the Indonesian AWACS project. Havelsan plans to leverage their know-how and experience in the AWACS program and combine it with the needs of the Indonesian Government to create a more robust AWACS system. “This will involve the formation of a collaboration team or joint program, where PTDI will act as the main contractor in Indonesia,” explained Mehmet Akif Nacar.
