Everyone knows I'm a naysayer and that TAI have shown great flexibility on churning out versions of T625 so far; but the navalized version in only 2-3 years is probably a tiny bit optimistic. I'd say 3-4.Naval Gökbey will take some time to fill that gap probably 2-3 years
Good idea ! But…We should use T-625N with coast guard ships, OPVs and corvettes and Seahawks with frigates and TF-2000. TCG Anadolu and Mugem can have both, but overwhelmingly Seahawks.

We have 23 Seahawks.
And we will have :
16 frigates (should have more in view of the workload we expect from our naval forces)
4 (may be 8) destroyers
TCG Anadolu needs minimum 2 Seahawks
Mugem will need minimum 2 + 6 Seahawks
Mugem and Anadolu need : 2 for ASW/ASUW , 2-4 for search&rescue
(each US carrier has at least 16 Seahawks, normally 19 with at least 4-5 of them in active duty at any one time away from the platform they serve)
Both Mugem and Anadolu, separately should have, combat and strike Seahawk squadrons made out of at least 8 helicopters.
Only then can we be utilising the full potential of a LHD and a Carrier.
Each Tepe Class Destroyer can accommodate 2 Seahawks.
As can be seen, there is a big shortfall of 8-10 ton class helicopters for our navy.
We urgently need 8-10 ton class helicopters for our navy. The more we can put of these on our LHD and Carrier the more potent the platforms ther serve will become.
Basic workload of a Seahawk or 8-10 ton class helicopter are:
Combat and Warfare Uses
- Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW)
- Anti-Surface Warfare (ASUW)
- Airborne Mine Countermeasures
- Electronic Warfare
Support and Rescue Uses
- Search and Rescue
- Special Operations
- Vertical Replenishment and Logistics
- Humanitarian Relief
It hurts to stand corrected when people 4 years ago were saying "Dipping sonar will be tested on Gökbey very soon".
2026Q3: Neither Dipping sonar, nor Navalized gökbey or any Gökbey has been designed for the dipping sonar was tested.
For sure USVs will rule future naval battles but still UAVs have some tactical advantages such as speed and rapid detection and reaction. But you are right USVs are more efficient. I assume ASW missiles will find more place in naval battles since loitering autonomous USVs supply more intelligence and detection.Cost wise wouldn't it be cheaper to have a USV do it ?
First delivery is supposed to start in 2028 but i'm doubtful that after just one year of testing they will deliver it. By my guess first delivery would be towards the end of 2029 under best circumstances

TUSAŞ General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu: "The T925 is the only platform of ours that hasn't made its first flight yet up to this point. That one will hopefully emerge by the end of this year. We anticipate it will make its flight in the first quarter of next year. The first 8 platforms, excluding prototypes, will be delivered to the General Directorate of Forestry as aerial firefighting platforms. It's a helicopter capable of carrying 19 people. In parallel, it can carry 4 tons of water. We've also gathered the requirements from all our forces—air, land, gendarmerie, special forces, naval forces, and the like—as end users."

You can hear Mr. Demiroğlu, in the clip above, saying something like “ilk teslimat hattı 2028’de başlayacağız”
which literally might translate to “we will start fist delivery ‘line’ in 2028“. Does he mean start the delivery line or Should I assume that maybe he meant that they will start delivering first aircraft in 2028?

Yeah, 2027 first qtr first flight, first deliveries will start in 2028. It really isn’t convincing.I am not convinced at all. I mean they don't even have a prototype to test and which propulsion system will it use ?
I am not questioning the avionics or such because we have that from Gökbey/T129, but the failure of taking one step at a time.
Granted we are not told anything about any tests being done, so are we to believe that they're conducting these tests without any media coverage ? hard to believe.
