What seems obvious from the illustration is that the dual seater will have less fuel capacity. With additional weight of second seat and second set of avionics it will mean that its combat radius and endurance will also be reduced.

And indeed, most dual seater variants of single seater jets are just like that. So in KF-21 case, that makes me wonder what will the dual seater KF-21 will be used for, as a strike aircraft? Trainer? or both?

About KFX, my understanding until now is IFX and KFX will use the same (hanwha) system: avionics, IRST, etc. The only differences are just a minor thing like IFX got bigger drop tank and drag chute.
But some people out there say we have to develop or buy a lot of system by ourself (radar, irst, engine, etc)

I bet it's not something really crucial like AESA or IRST. Why there is J20 there?AESA or IRST I believe only LEN can make it with participation from ITB/LIPI, but that is long term. Yup InfoGlobal as we know has offered this in 2016, maybe they can make it better this 2021, I propose Hawk should be upgraded again using InfoGlobal newer products.
